Brand New Ducati Streetfighter (red) base. Paid 17,000.00 cash, and rode the bike home from the dealer (41 miles). Was nearly divorced for doing it without the wifes approval (lol). Fire selling it for 13,500 and making the problem go away.
Save yourself like 4k and just buy mine. Its literally new.
damn

I'm confused. Is he selling the "problem" bike so that his wife isn't mad or he's selling the bike to fund his divorce and make his "problem" go away?
I'm guessing a few roofies, a car with a large trunk and a drive out to the lake would also make his problem go away...and then he gets to keep the bike *and* he's got insurance $ for mods.

Yeah, but then he's got to flee to Canada and hang himself in a hotel room.
And really, what good is a Ducati if you're dead?
What? Too soon?
Ah, roofies . . . good times, good times.

You had me at "a few roofies".

Yes. It's part of the "My first contract killing" kit I bought for my daughter.
I got it for her after I noticed she kept seeing how many stuffed animals she could fit into the trunk of her Disney Princessmobile.
Start 'em young, I always say.

selling the bike so he doesn't get divorced.
I don't understand people.
why would you go spend 17k without consulting with your spouse?

The more pertinent question is what female would not find the streetfighter and the spouse that rides it hawt?

My wife would totally be in for it, but obviously we'd discuss it first and both go look at it!

Screw that...whatever he buys without consulting me becomes mine. Problem solved, and in this case, it would work out quite nicely for yours truly. ;D

Can you guys make out his "license plate"? That thing is huge, too.

Did it twice for $12000:
- for the S2R1000 in 2007. It went well.
- Second time this summer for the 998s FE. It went really bad: she didn't talk to me AT ALL for 3 weeks.
Was hard, but it faded with time and I ended up keeping the bike... [moto]
This guy is giving up too easily...

yeah, for the 998FE i would have stuck it out too.
something tells me this guy (OP's listing) is a first time rider... :D

Exactly. As long as he still had it in his possession, regardless of trying to sell it, I would be putting a crazy-ton of miles on it. Especially because his time at home can't be that fun right now.
Who's going to mind if it's 40 miles or 540 miles at that price. This dude is a n00b.

Mrs. 152 has her money from her job and I have my money from my job. We split the bills down the middle. If I want something, I save for it and go buy it. Same for her. 10 years married this month and finances are not argued about.
