Title: Perth Calling
Post by: pompey77 on October 08, 2009, 03:13:19 AM
Hi Guys,

First post.....

Name: Phil
Location: Perth, Western Australia
Bike(s): Monster 696
How long you've been riding: 3 yrs

I'm a monster newbie, brought it new only last week and so far pretty pleased with it. Always fancied a Ducati and finally got one.

Being new it's stock standard, I 'm hearing a bit about aftermarket exhaust mods, but being a newbie have no idea what advantage/disadvantage  that will give, apart from looking very cool of course...  ;)

Be interested in opinions...

Mr WA,
Cool to see someone from Perth. I've been there a handfull of times and loved it there.
As far as exhaust, certain kits can add a little more power, but sound  and looks are a big plus too.

Welcome Phil, congrats on your 696! [thumbsup]

As herm says, check out OZ Monsters (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?board=52.0).    I think most of them are on the east coast but there are few from your stomping grounds.   Great place, my dad is from Perth and I still have a bit of family there.

Check out the Accessories & Mods (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?board=5.0) forum for more ideas on exhaust, the Termis are pretty popular on the 696.

Looking forward to seeing some pictures of your bike when you get a chance. :)
