Title: Randy M
Post by: Ronr on October 14, 2009, 02:59:36 PM
How is McCarter doing nowadays healthwise? I hadn't heard anything in a while.

I have a set of tires I'm thinking about changing on Friday. Anybody know his hours and best way to reach him? I'm assuming he's still over at Motopia.

Last I heard his health was OK. He's usually there Thurs-Sat. His cell is 817-706-8870. If Lisa sees this thread I am sure she will chime in with more info. [thumbsup]

Thanks for the info. Glad to hear Randy is doing well.

I'm still trying to decide whether to change the tires yet. It is for the 999 track bike. They have much rubber left, just a partial race day on them. Maybe two or three heat cycles. The problem is they have sat for a year and a half since then. They still feel fairly soft and sticky so they may still have some adhesive life left in them. I think they are street/track tires, not real race tires. My cheap bastard side says run them for a day. If they suck, just go slower.

I think you'd be OK with them. You'll know real quick if they're off. If they are good then just wear them out and as you said, if they are funky just wear them out at a slower pace. [thumbsup]
