So I'm taking a little vacation in Barcelona and head into a dept. store to take a leak. En route I spy a woke wall of Dani Pedrosa fan gear, but not a hint of Lorenzo stuff. Weird.
two possible reasons for this inequity ...
1. pedrosa was born in sabadell (about 20km nw from barcelona), and lorenzo was born in palma de mallorca. these two regions do not like each other, and have mucho pride in their own people.
2. pedrosa has a better sports management team (merchandizing).
besides, wtf are you doing looking at pedrosa merch ... last time i was in barcelona, the sheer number of fantastic looking fica was simply mind boggling ... you need to spend mucho more time sightseeing the fica [roll]

Ok, for a better picture, let's say you're in Boston, and Pedrosa is like RedSox player, while Lorenzo is a more like Yankee...
Both are US player, but who would care!?
As simple as that.
[cheeky]
What are you doing cramming yourself into a greyhound bus seat, and sharing an armrest that's only 1 1/8 wide for 8 hours to go all the way over there?
Ok, I get it - I figured they're both Catalan, so no diff. Didn't appreciate the whole majollrca vs mainland thing.
Dave - I figured it would be cool, so why not.

Fear not amigos, I am keeping a careful eye on the local talent. Yesterday I was sitting in a cafe and a girl who I'd swear was Penelope Cruz's younger sister walked by.
I almost fell off my stool.

wtf were you doing sitting on your excrement? not exactly a babe magnet, unless she is into scatology. [roll]
let's not go there John. Besides I'm drinking my ice water with lemon in it.
Pictures MM, pictures. Be the creepy guy with the long lens 'or it didn't happen,' and you won't remember it.

You still over there in Spain wondering what to eat for breakfast?
Ya, still in Spain. Breakfast is pretty easy - cafe con leche and a pastry of some sort. Or if I'm really hungry, a baguette with jamon.

It already happened to me in Chille. Good thing I didn't have my wallet. She cursed me in Spanish afterward.
Well, happy to report that I got out of Espana with wallet, money and passport intact.
It was a fantastic trip and now I want to see more of the country. (Including those beaches!)

Wellcome back..!
Next time, Andalucia is nice, beautiful ninas and little white towns in the mountains facing the mediterranian.
Fuengirola comes to mind.

Thanks Juan, I'm definitely going back. [thumbsup]
Might be fun to hit Basque country too. San Sebastian for example.
