Title: Hello from Seattle!
Post by: Hosehead on October 22, 2009, 08:31:32 AM
Hey all,

My name is Sean.  I live in the Seattle area.  I just recently took the MSF course (passed!) and got my endorsement.  Prior to taking the MSF class, I had not been on a bike since about 1991 and, even then, it was limited to some dirt riding out in a field by my friend's house for about an hour.  So, for all intents and purposes, I am a total newbie.  I don't have my bike yet, but I've been wanting a Monster for years--ever since a friend of mine picked up a M620 in about 2002.  I love the new 696 and have been lusting after a red one.  My crystal ball tells me that I'll be buying one of those bad boys in the spring.  I've been lurking on "the old board" for quite a while and finally decided to make the jump over here.  I'm happy to be a member of the community!

Hope to see you on the road soon.

Welcome Sean, congrats on the endorsement and passing MSF. [thumbsup]

+1 on introducing yourself to the NorthWest (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?board=27.0) board.

Best of luck with the bike shopping, you might check out our Monsters for Sale (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?board=9.0) section, sometimes there are 696's listed there.

Looking forward to seeing what you end up with! :)

Welcome Sean!  I lived in Seattle for years (Ballard) and still miss it.  Congrats on passing the MSF!  The other day, I noticed that Ducati Seattle had a used '09 696 for sale on their website.  Could be worth checking out.
