Hey guys and girls,
This was brought up last Thursday night by RobS. He was wondering if we are have a Christmas dinner. I think it is a good idea to get to meet the Newbies and catch up with the regulars as well. I guessing somewhere in Sydney but know we need place, date and time. so what do you guys reckon. I know we all get busy around this time, but I'm just putting it out there and see what response we get.

Would love to Jukie. The ride there and back might be a tad long tho.. :( [cheeky]
Excellent thought.
We can either go for a place along Norton Street
Maybe the place we went too when the San Fran guests why here over at Haberfield.
In any case, I'll be there so pipe up peoples and tell us what your up too.

Thanks Jukie drop me right in it [laugh]
I will be there were ever it is.
Can't recomend a venue but Norton st would be the go central for most.
I'm in......
Just a possible suggestion.....
Lunch as at bike friendly venue????
A bike friendly lunch would be good.
Kangaroo Valley...
Yup!! Me in... [thumbsup]
Mmick
Kurrajong heights pub?
good views, bike friendly, can go for a bit of a ride afterward depends on the [drink] drink consumption...
not too many tin tops either...
Yeah it's also a possible, depends on who is coming and where from.
i think it will be a bit of a hike for some...
lets just put the heights pub on the back burners...
I was in the area only on Sat last weekend... the wife's best friend lives up that way, and I've often seem bikes there at the pub...
we usually are there on Thursday nights... we go for a ride up the putty to the first servo, have a drink and head back up to the heights pub for dinner...
the guys i go with have heaps old bikes, 2 laverda jotas, a hailwood replica, a ducati s4 these guys are the usual, there are more of them... lol
Arrr the crazy season is upon us...... must make time to catchup.
I'm in
Maybe somewhere on Norton St, say the first saturday night in December (5th) and we could pay up our Mo money
Mmick
I know already Sat 5th I am busy.
i should be free [cheeky]
Due to complete lack of consensus, I will revert back to this:
Sunday 29th Movember:
. Morning ride
. Lunch in Kangaroo Valley?
. Awarding of OzMonster Movember sashes
. Conclusion of Movember cup auction
. General Christmas Merriment
Can we get some sort of agreement/confirmation?
Jukie,
The date works for us, but it's hard to do a large day trip like this with the kiddies, so if it's KV then we'll have to be out. (this is why I suggested something closer, like leichhardt)
If you end up doing a close to syd run (the old road, or the RNP loop), and then end up back in the city, we'll be able to meet up with the group.
I'm fine either way, I guess it depends on who else is going to come along for the Merriment/Ride/Sash Giving
it really doesn't bother Betty or I either way
We've never ridden south ... so we are at the mercy of you lot anyway. Finishing up closer to the city would be good for the trip home too 8)
Okay so there you have it.
A ride through RNP, Old Princess, Mt Keira and back up to the Big Smoke for lunch and Mo's

OK, sounds fair enough, I'm in, and the date is ?

So can one of you guys draw up a route map with meeting place, etc?
... and I know better than to try and find somewhere to eat ...
Thanks
Hello all,
I was hoping to meet some of you lovely people at the Christmas get together, but I am booked in for an Advanced Rider Course on the 29th. Have an awesome time, I am sure we will cross paths at some time soon. So far I have not met anyone, except Matty who was in motion at Wiseman's. I think he noticed my Termis and uncoordinated helmet. Well spotted Matty. Mind you, hard not to notice another Monster on the road, right?
Cheers, Kaz.

That's right! At work, I've often stopped what I am doing to confirm what type of ducati is coming my way. and I only get mildly pissed off when it's a vtr1000 or other throaty twin...
Oh, and since I've been the instigator of the "lets eat in Syd", I'll work on some suggestions for a food gathering, and leave the map building to others who will be on the ride..
thanks nick for that, i just a bit busy and have no idea where to eat down there
I'll get mapping later today/tonight.
Okay, How's about we have a ride through the RNP, over the Sea Cliffe Bridge, up Bulli Pass round to
Mount Keira then turn around back again and up to Watsons Bay for lunch.
Watsons Bay, has options for lunch, good parking and is kiddie/family friendly.
We can have fish'n'chips in the Park, Lunch in Doyles Pub or there are a few other cafes along the beach.
So what'say you?
Yeah Matty that sounds like a great ride [thumbsup]
weather permitting I would like to join in
maybe I a few more Nth Beaches lads can come too ,
Rob ?
[thumbsup]
Sounds like fun but i' confirmed last night that i'm out.
Have fun guys [moto]
Sounds like a good plan. Suggest either the pub for lunch or get take away for the park. Doyles is one of the shittiest restaurants in the world. IMHO.
I'd be thinking it's a park lunch, Nick can bring ground coverage in the cage.

Hey I've been out of the loop for a while so just a few logistical questions re next Sunday:
~ What time is the meet at the Shell servo on Sunday?
~ Where are we exactly having lunch?
~ What do I need to bring as in food & drink (given I'll be on the Duke)?
See you all next Sunday for a much needed ride, lunch and catchup .... [moto]
Hey Trev,
I'm guessing about an 8:30 meet or so, depending on group size.
Eating well it looks like we will mostly be eating take away fish'n'chips from The Wharf at Watsons Bay.
Nick who is caging it to the lunch might bring supporting beverage/ice/etc.... plus ground cover.
And the Bocci set!
Meeting time is not set in stone because other than Jukie/Betty/Rob S/You/Me
I'm not sure who else is riding with us. It will probably be a short-ish ride to get us back to Watsons Bay for about 12-1pm.
I'm thinking I can steel the day away from the family. Count me in Matty
Okay so the ride list is.
Jukie
Betty
Matty
Dezmonster
Big T
Dannog
Andy55?
Mostro900?
Rob S
Mmick
Monstar_100

Possibly the last DMF ride for 2009 :'(
And it is not mandatory to have a Mow and or buy Jukie a crissy prezzy to be in this run either.
Worth going just to pay out on Brad Pitts stunt double (aka Betty)
And Mattys looking very distinguished :-*

Which cafe? PITS?
If they are talking at meeting down south at 8:30 I would think we need to be underway by 7-7:30 from our meeting place depending where it is. Anything along those lines is OK with us, just let us know.

Yeah, I think PITS is the only one there now, right ? 7/7:30 sounds good to me. Means I get to wake all my neighbours at 6/6:30 on a Sunday morning! [evil]
Alrighty ... anybody else joining us?
Six95?
Big T?
7:00am PITS it is...... [thumbsup]
I'm out sorry. I feel pretty rotten for it.
I was hoping to fly under the radar. It's Mrs Six95's 30th Birthday weekend away.
A weekend in Watsons Bay?
Com'on Mrs Six doesn't want to meet us lot..... :'( :'(
HA HA, She does and will eventually.
We are going to Fishermans bay in Port Stephens.
I dont own a Merc, a Rangie or a Cruiser which makes Watsons bay and exclusion zone for me.
I am so disappointed to miss it. I have an Advanced rider course booked and it has already been rescheduled once before. Have a great time everyone!

Cheers mate!
Okay so Rob and I will be on the road by 7.15 a.m. to meet up with you guys at the arranged
site, looking forward to this as it will be my only day off this week .
A word of caution there seems to be a lot more [leo] on the road this weekend than normal so watch your speed.
Anyone know if there will be any area where we could be stopping for a cool off swim ?
If so I will bring a towel and togs as it is likely to get hot.
Looking forward to riding over the seacliff bridge as I have never seen it.
