I think that is one of the most rare of all Ducatis if I'm not mistaken. The Dinah model. Is that model that actually put Ducati on the map? Very collectible even if it's not.

Group historians to the rescue!

'67 Monza Jr. 250 narrowcase ... very similar to the one Scott has for sale.  Not all that rare if I recall

More of a note is that John Wells is selling his 999R on CL.  Anybody know if he followed through and got a DD16RR?

Is that the 999R that's also on eBay?

Would that happen to be one John Wells who is a local/national voice announcer with one hell of a deep voice?

The only 999Rs I see on ebay are in Austin or Cali.  John's is here in Dallas.

And yes RED, that is the same John Wells that's an announcer/voice over guy.  Last time I talked to him he was riding his KTM 990 Adventure.

Wow, small world! John and I went to HS together and were good friends. The last time I saw him was at the old KZEW studios at the WFAA complex back in the early '80's. Long story there but not now. Anyway I've been wanting to get back in touch with  him for the longest but don't know how to contact him. How would one go about getting in contact with him? If you talk to him before I do tell him I said hello. Too funny! [thumbsup]

I have his business card somewhere... he used to frequent Motopia, probably still does.  You can find him at AMS events every now and again.  Just email him via his CL listing for his 999R
