I'm a beginner here in LA, and just bought a 696. Been riding a 250CC Rebel for a few weeks. Rode the Monster for the first time yesterday. AWESOME! Really looking forward to it! Going to spend a bit more time on the Rebel before making the jump. Would appreciate any advice I can get. THANK YOU!!

welcome to the board. make sure and get in touch with the southern california group.
also, if you havent already, consider taking the MSF.

I see you found your local group, hopefully one of them can help you out finding some riding lessons or a mentor to ride with. :)
