Hmmmm, looks like a Hyper-Strada-Fighter. They should have a few at the Ducati booth at IMS this weekend. I will suspend judgement.
...and I thought the Busa had a mean beak. :o
It looks really sturdy - I like the exhaust placement - with push button performance/suspension changeability it's the perfect bike for someone with OCD ( although that will probably be the first thing to break :-\ ). 150 HP, under five hundred lbs. [thumbsup] that'll work ! 8)
I've been reading a bit about the bikes but no one ever says what they are going to retail for ! Can't be cheap. :-[
Again, Ducati makes yet another bike I will never buy. I keep getting pushed further and further away from their product line and it makes me glad I have the Ducs I have. They are the best of the breed in my opinion. Just my opinion of course. Just saying... I am sure there are lots of folks that love the S-fighter, new Monsters and that new thingy. [bang] In kind of a weird twist I hope people love the new bikes and buy them in droves. I wish Ducati future success with the new offerings, I'd love to see them do well. But I have the feeling that I have bought my last Ducati. Better stock up on spare parts. [thumbsup]
Brian you're getting old and have too many bikes anyway. [evil]
I personally like the bike A LOT and who gives a shit on that beak, it's a DUC remember. My only concern is price and judging by their output the last two years it will be out of our reach I'll bet.
Sell that sofa glide of yours...this has your name written all over it. ;D
hell NO. the sofa stays. I'll sell the wife's bike instead but I'll need a room to rent if I do.
$14995 for base model is what i saw.
without the heated grips I bet. BUT I'm liking the price.
I really don't like that beak, but the exhaust is pretty cool looking for stock. I'd like to ride one just to get a feel for it.
I wonder if the electronic suspension lowers when you come to a stop for us inseam challenged. No prices yet for the up-optioned versions, but I am betting around $17-18k. I'm guessing comparableto a GS - could make an awesome commuter [moto] and still do this....

I guess they had to do something different with the exhaust since a lot of these bikes will end up with hard luggage. No more under seat/flaming legs exhaust!! Yeah!!
Again, a no go for me but I hope they sell thousands of them. I'm just waiting for them to bring back an affordable Supermono!!! Now that would be a kickass track day bike! [thumbsup] [moto]
Threadjack: I saw the list of manufacturers for this weekend's Cycle World show. No Triumph (again [bang]), no Guzzi, no KTM, no Aprilla and no BMW! It will interesting to see how much flash/bling the ones that will be there have. Oh... I almost forgot, no Buell! [laugh]
... end of threadjack.
I actually think I like the new Multistrudel. Not sure tho - will have to see it in person. Not in the market for a bike like that but it could do well for a reasonable amount of coin (compared to a Beemer of similar spec).
Also, even though Triumph will not attend the Dallas motoshow, the factory demo truck will be at Eurosport in Fort Worth this weekend for demo rides. I think Triumph have done this sort of thing, timing-wise, before... It would bve cool if KTM or Guzzi could do the same [evil]
several of us will be there tomorrow at the show starting from 10:00 on so PM if you want to hook up.
I hear the 795'Tard will be showing .
I think the fam will prolly be going on Sunday. Sam has a b-day party tomorrow AND wants to see "2012." <shrug>
This new Strada quite a step up from the original model. I couldnt be more happy than with my 04 Strada. Lightweight, awesome in twisties, and adequate on highway. Air cooled and cheaper maintenance. This new one whole new gig. Seems way over engineered ala Beemer. If reliability is good and maintenance not a beating could really be an ultimate sport tourer/adventure bike. Time will tell. I too will be looking for one in a few years i am sure

well, if ducati is known for anything, it's reliability ;)
it could be a badass bike, and the veritable swiss army knife of bikes... I'm curious on riding position, seat height, handling, and electronics. It seems like a lot of firsts for ducati in the electronics department, but I admit to being very very intrigued.
this might be the best ducati to wait for the second year though.
carry your own tools when off-roading.
Porsche is involved with the switchable suspension electronics on the new Multi. Strange match-up if you ask me ;D Oh well, I'll make my judgements on the new bike when it hits the showroom in March

Wasn't Porsche looking to buy Ducati before it got cash strapped and swallowed by VW?
Sounds like Ducati let the fox in the hen house and almost lost the farm. Thank you VW
