more than plausable. i like it.  but the design of the EPS foam has to change to accomdate the gel pack. That means less energy absorbing material, which means half the helmets out there would have to end up being bigger just to meet snell requirements. or move away from snell more toward  other standards.

Luckily SNELL is moving away from SNELL so that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

$250 to retrofit an ice-pack into the helmet? Water and ammonium nitrate aren't exactly cutting edge expensive technology...
