Hey guys & gals,
I'm back. Traded in my ST4s for a Hyper 1100, now reading about all the O2 closed-loop BS.
I understand Mash will reflash ECUs?
Tell me, in your opinion, what I need to do to make my 17 mile hyper with soon to be delivered full Arrow CF exhaust ride like we dream about.
I think I need a DP ECU with the termi 2-1 w/airbox code (or flash) so I go open loop full time. May also need a custom PC3 map on top to optimize the A/F to my particular graft. Yes? No?
And happy thanksgiving to ya's all. [beer]
Hey...
I think Mash is out of that business.
I hear the termi system with the dp ecu cures the issues.
Hey DP
No need for a pc3, eh? I have an arrow full system, not a termi...
How's Zeke, wife, life, etc?
Hey Super, I was wondering what bike you chose. When I say you at Gerry's it was the Hyper or the Sport Classic S.
On my SC I have the Termis with the DP ecu. I also have a PC3(and degreed cams and open air box). In order to make the PC work you will have to be open loop. There is something called a Fat Duc O2 manipulator that makes your system open loop and is cheaper than a DP ecu. Desmo Times carries them.
Looking forward to seeing the Hyper in the spring.

My understanding is the DP ecu can be tweaked enough so that with the 0
2 sensor eliminated it's all good
All are well...thanks Micah
Thanks guys
My understanding is the FatDuc just richens the a/f while it's in closed-loop...
I thought I'd see how it behaved with only the dp ecu, then map it if it seemed wrong...
desmoporsche.com seems to be the most cost effective way to get it done. $250 for a remap if you supply the ecu.
Red HYM 1000!

Does the DP ecu no longer eliminate the O
2 sensor?
edit...
Sorry, I misread your OP.
You will need an ecu or a remap.
Use something that eliminates the sensor.
Right, yes. I think we're on the same page DP.
I need an ecu that cares not about the 02 sensor, and preferably is open loop full time.
The board again brings clarity to muddied waters... thanks!
I have the Termi kit with the DP ecu and it works great. Last winter I had the cams degreed and played with the intake cam timing. After that a PC3 with custom map. The DP ecu would be the way to go. I also installed an open airbox lid from Dietrich(He's on this board) and that helped. BTW I have the DP airbox lid that came with the Termis if you want to give it a shot. The airbox is the same on the Hyper and SC.

Awesome! I'll take you up on that offer. How about a swap: airbox lid for long weekend ride to lake george camp where you eat for free! Trip in May, date tbd.
I was going to invite you anyways. ;)
BTW
It's amazing, this O2/closed loop business...
ECU reflash $250-$500
ECU reflash/tuner $500-600 (ProTune)
DP Cams + ECU $700
Nemesis ECU $1000
Termi Pipes, airbox, ECU $1700+
