Nope, never been but I do know it's been around for a real long time. I always assumed it was something like the Canton, TX "First Monday" trade days thing, although I hear that the Canton gig is not as cool as it was. Used to collect the old, original Fiestaware and would always find some cool pieces down there.
please don't hate me for this, but as a child I worked there in high school selling beer and nachos. yea.....selling beer.......that's what I did.
You said like Canton so that means NO way on he'll I'm going.

Sounds like a dream job! What high school teenager wouldn't want a job selling beer! [laugh] [drink] And all the nachos you can eat on the side! [popcorn] [bacon] [bow_down]
Dax, I said I think it's like Canton. Again, never been but that's my impression from what I have heard. Maybe oaf can line you up with a brew and munchies... would that get you to go? ;D That's probably the only reason I would. :P

it's like Canton, but much smaller and way less English. Haven't been in many years though.
Confirmed a NO go then. I don't need to practice my Spanish, guess I'll spend the day with gringos instead
You do need to practice your Spanish. Thank god you married someone who speaks real the real Spanish, carnal.
That's san Fran Spanglish I know Castellano [coffee]
TV has always a revolving inventory of local tennants and parts from anything dealing with cars to motos. You can definately find stuff out there. I too haven't been there in many years but it used to be a good resource for parts. And that's all I know about that.
Haven't been to that particular meet but it sounds a lot like the old Pate swap-meets. That was a great place to find quirky automobilia and stuff [laugh]

So they put less spin on the ball? ???
Yes I lived there in Traders Village...... now I feel a need to explain/defend [roll]
When I started relocating back to DFW area I had bought a VERY large Toyhauler trailer to work/live in the year earlier during a temporary contract I had up in Ohio and I didn't want to leave my bikes behind.... isn't that sweet......
Anyhow I ended up parking this Trailer and living in it at Traders Village while doing my house search and until I got closed on the home.
It is sort of interesting to look around and barter on junk there and there are tons of merchants wheeling and dealing on Stereos, Wheels, Clothes. There was a ice House Bar that you could drink ice cold beers for real cheap while oogling chicas in tightly clad jeans or short shorts. Me being fairly simple minded like that found that to be amusing.
Bottom line is it is an ok place to do some people watching and you never know what kind of cool thing you might stumble across.
