Title: Where can I find the Monster Decals that go...
Post by: CountGreffi on May 28, 2008, 01:58:15 PM
I think normally a S2R has black plastic things here. But mine has the carbon fiber. But I still want the decal that says Ducati Monster S2R. Does anyone know what I mean? I think it'd look good with it, maybe just as good without. Just wondering if you can buy them.

Do they look like they are missing?

the stock ones you are looking for are on an embossed aluminum piece, on double back tape, with the letter tops painted. it says "DUCATI MONSTER S2R"( on the 800 , 1000 is different) you may be able to order them from ducati. the price may be very close to the part # [bang] ducati part# 4360.1.168..1A. i replaced the stock ones with carbon & transferd the labels over.

Ugh.  I JUST saw a link for a place that sells Ducati sticker kits.  Let me see if I can find it again.

Thanks for all the replies. I like how you guys answer me, it gives me something to do while I am at work. I am talking about the Ducati Monster S2R decal that is found on the stock piece. These pieces are the carbon fiber ones that Ducati sells. I actually like the more naked look, but if I keep them on would want the decal, just to see if they look good. What does those panels sell for the carbon fiber bits? Do you think people on this site would wanna buy them? Maybe I will see once I find the decals. Thanks guys

Those things sell like hot cakes, so feel free to put them up for sale in the 'Parts for Sale section, or on eBay.

I don't like to cover the frame, I think its a defining attribute, and I also don't think those side panels have the same 'lines' as the bike, meaning that they don't have a similar 'flowing' angle with the frame.

If you remove them, you will find yourself staring at some wiring. Its probably semi-ugly. There may be a bracket or two that are also there. You can reroute the wiring with little difficulty and grind the brackets off. I did these things and haven't looked back since.

Different strokes for different folks though, because those suckers do sell fairly well.
