Title: 1963 Ducati on CL
Post by: Smiling End on May 28, 2008, 05:00:18 PM
I just saw this on my local Craigslist.  I don't know if it's anything special or good or anything but thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone is interested.

I don't know the seller or anything, just saw it and figured cuz of the year maybe it was rare or something.

Another case of "it's a Ducati, it's old, it'll be worth a mint when it's restored!"

Actually it's a 160 Monza Jr with so many mods/missing pieces it would be a nightmare to restore. A nice one these days might bring a few grand... but there's nothing special about that model so it will never be worth much relative to the other single cylinder Ducs of the era.

FWIW I bought a rough but mostly complete, stock 160 Jr for $200 about three years ago. They've gone up some since then but he's asking way too much IMHO...

If he gets 900 for that pile of parts I'm going to start selling old bikes.

Nothing even looks like it's in remotely good shape.  It just looks like a massive pile of junk.  Although, knowing where it's located I'm not 100% surprised.
