Title: custom rearsets?
Post by: onaboat on May 28, 2008, 09:30:29 PM
hey folks, upgrading my suspension so the next mod on my bike needs to be foot controls. i'd figure if i'm going to pay $500 for rearsets i might be able to get a custom made set. its gonna go on a M695. i'm looking to get a set made from tubular metals, i think i've seen it on a ducati before but can't remember from where. but anyway if you know what i'm talking about or can make me a set let me know. thanks

I've thought about making my own rear sets at length, but unless you're a machining expert it's probably going to cost nearly 4-500 to make in terms of time, energy, materials, and machine time. Not to mention, these are a vital component for the bike so it needs to be thoroughly tested and purpose built. These are pretty good deterrents for me to consider buying instead, but there aren't that many options out there for the M620 either. Cyclecat, please come back!

Both are members of this board and may be able to do what you want.  Do not expect the cost to be cheap, though.

I built these for around $200 total using ebay levers and foot pegs from yoyodyne.
