Hey folks, I'm getting a little antsy/freaked out that none of my friends have been able to get back to me about housing me and 3 others with bikes at their house tomorrow night in Austin... if anyone can hang out as backup plan B, that would really be very helpful... :-\

I'd like to help out but I'm further up North (Round Rock). Though, if you want a safe place to park the motos while you head into Austin in a detached car, I can definitely help out there. I was planning on trying to get out to have a beer with you folks anyways.
I've got a spare bedroom, a couch, some floor space and an air mattress. I also have two annoying dogs and one husband. But the garage is motorcycle parking only and I live off of Congress, 4 miles from downtown if anyone needs a place to stay. - Laura

I'm in Florida, just called the front desk of my loft there to see if they had a key to my place to let you use. No such luck. We may be able to work something out if its an emergency, I can get them to let you in, not to sure how it would work after that. 1 king size bed, 1 queen size murphy bed, and a full size couch. Lots of bare concrete floor, located behind Hut's at 5th and West. Let me know if you're desperate!

Well the meet up is actually tomorrow @ Koyote Ranch. But all these hooligans from DFW and Houston decided to converge on Austin the day/night before.
Unfortunately, you have like 5 groups leaving at 6 different times. Yeah I meant that. So the actually meeting of the minds in Austin will occur when everyone actually gets to Austin, gets checked into their rooms or place with available sofa space, and heads out on the town. Some will be starting much earlier than others, and a time/location for final merging has yet to be determined.
I just got off work this morning so I am spending the day racking beer, preping bike, packing, etc. :P

I second Chipo's offer for you ever need a place to stay in Houston but replacing Caracas with northern New Mexico (ok, possibly less "exotic" but we do have access to great skiing and my family lives to feed guests).

no, but really - family has pretty sweet pads in Abq, Santa Fe, Las Vegas, Abiquiu, Espanola, Pecos and more "humble" (possible understatement there) abodes abounding just off the Taos highway (which is a **saweet** road).
I've spent mucho tiempo burning up the roads in Northern NM... I usually stay near Taos in El Prado, or Ranchitos, or El Seco.

Sounds like a fun time, but I have a Vegas trip, another Austin trip, and then an Italy/Germany trip on the horizon. I gotta save all the PTO I can, plus taking time off for trackdays.

If y'all get close to Santa Fe you should head over to Madrid and check out the Mine Shaft Tavern. They are suppose to have great burgers (I ended up there on a day the kitchen closed early). The bar is long, people fun and rowdy looking. I think it's a Bandito hang out without the exclusivity of a hard core biker bar.

oh we will DEF be heading out in the Madrid area. Would spend at least a day or two with Santa Fe as a base camp for all the mountain roads to the east.
