The feeling of something missing on the weekend is filled now with Supercross on speed channel again. It's on live right now. I'm stoked. Soon F1, WSBK & Moto GP will be making a showing! And the days are getting longer.
Nike has developed a Motocross boot (http://www.cyclenews.com/articles/supercross/2010/01/07/nike-motocross-boots-revealed) which was worn by James Stewart and Ryan Dungey during the race. Maybe something is coming down the pike for the street later on.
These guys are awesome, which brings me to the question. Who is more talented SuperCross or Road racers? I say SuperCross racers are more talented and more physically fit. [popcorn]
Dungey is gonna give Stewart a challenge this season. [thumbsup]

Nobody here follows Dakar...? :-\
loosely.
the 2008 cancellation and subsequent departure from the "classic" routes (no dakar, etc) pretty much put the nail in the coffin of my attentiveness for the event.

different regimen of training and different attibutes of fitness...but I'd have to say Road Racers...
25-40 mins of RR race versus 10-15 minutes of a SuperX race...
neither has the endurance of a Dakar or Baja1000 racer...but they are all so very different in their own rights....
Reed and Stewart get hurt Dungey wins.
