Michelle, Terry and I will be there all three days. Our MRO, NYCMAG has a booth there. Please stop by, and, if you haven't already, join up with us. If anyone wants to volunteer time, let Michelle (IndustrialGrrrl) or me know by PM or text, as we need your full name. You will get either a free ticket or a three day pass.

Sorry to quote myself, but this is really a bump and some new info.
We will be at booth 1560, by the Ducati Freestyle Team. Stop by ;D
Looks like I'll be there Saturday.
Ill be there on Sunday morning.

Ah bummer!! I was there last night with my pops. I should've checked this thread before, but the Ducati Freestyle Team was pretty good. Rather Nick did a good job, sucked that Ernie was out. I spoke to the both of them, really nice guys. Despite the fact that they had about a million people trying to get a picture and autograph with them, they still took their time out and spoke to me and didnt rush me at all. Pretty nice of them.
BTW, anyone catch the Ducati Fashion Show? I caught the last one, and I have to say they had some nice looking girls on stage. This was my first bike show, and the venders were pretty cool. I finally picked up a Battery Tender Plus for $35. I wanted to get accent L.E.D.s, specifically strips but they were pretty darn expensive.
I went Sunday and it was a fun show, glad to see some people.
My slide show:

I went Saturday but ended up being in a bit of a hurry thanks to buying a new (to me) bike. Maybe I have a skewed perspective on it but my general response was "meh".

I wanted to buy stuff. All i could find was cruiser gear. No hot model chicks, and very very few good deals if any. but it was cool.
I got to sit on the R6, which i didnt think it would fit me so well. the CBR600 and GSXR600 were horrifying to sit on, and the 848 was pretty good, but i wouldnt be able to do 500milers on it where as the R6 i would be able to. So those are the 2 sport bikes im lookign to pick up once i throw my monster in front of a train.
Your monster has kept going in the face of adversity dude, don't cast it away so quickly. ;)

Welcome to NYMMC...

This board is just ridiculous. I know there are people who look at it but the actual post count never goes up. It's like we've attained the same level of ambivalence that the New Yorkers have for their sporting teams.
I posted two threads up in here about my trip to Cali & back, a bunch of people looked but no posts. Either everyone thinks I'm a cock (which is possible) and couldn't be assed posting about it, can't be bothered posting on anything or just don't give a make the beast with two backs but I deleted them both & posted into General.
It's like morbid curiosity (really like it, this board is basically dead) I keep coming back to look to see if anyone's posted and lo, 2 posts in a week. It's sad.
If there was a way I could hide this board I would, I need to kick the habit.
I know what you mean and it's really unfortunate. I think that NYC/ tristate needs a good sport bike forum. NYMMC doesn't really cut it for a variety of reasons only one of which is the lack of active members. I've tried to post here regularly but it seems as you said there are only a handful of contributors, except for the occasional person posting "why is NYMMC so dead?". I tend not to post as much as I used to on DMF because NYMMC is dead and NMC section is fun but I want a local crowd.
Sorry to say it but I think I will be posting and checking NYMMC even less now. See ya around. [thumbsup]
Yeah, I think the best option is SU.com for people who actually want to get together & ride and whatnot. It really is a shame too because this community used to be quite active. Drop me a PM any time Pak, I doubt you'll see me at SU.com, I killed my account months ago.

Didn't you complain about it being too active and say that people are taking over the board? What do you want? [laugh]
You know that's not what I complained about.

You too. You know you can always make another account on SU, just sayin.
I could but probably won't.
