First ride of the " season " for Vin and I ...

Roads were delightfully dry and salt free, probably won't be that way again until April, but still loads of fun ;D
Cheers,
Adam
Do you get to talk to the constabulary every time you ride? ;D

Went for a spin around the block yesterday on the /5. Started up on the 5th or 6th kick, did its side-to-side shake on the centerstand for a few minutes until it warmed up and then ran like a top. The roads were in pretty good shape, and since things take a while to approach on a 40-year-old bike there was no drama even when there was some mid-corner gravel or sand.

Last fall. 1970 R50/5, 23k miles, runs great, looks pretty good. It was my Dad's bike but health issues prevent him from riding anymore so he gave it to me.

Yup, just started here. Not much accumulation yet.
Nope, we ended up with maybe 1/4" accumulation. Sun is out now, back up to 40 degrees and snow is melting...
the roads are very icy here in NW CT
and about 4" of the white shit...
We're getting some more of that white shit now, but I don't expect it to last...

That was the only BMW I ever rode. ;D
I never got used to the torque reaction in the rear...didn't have much time on it.
Enjoy it. [thumbsup]

They don't call them Bumwads for no reason. ;)
Wow Dr.D your orig. post is just like the one I posted in road cond. last week. Minus the pics and the official opinion of road etiquette. Rode last Sat. Sun. then after more salt washing rain and 45deg, Tus. Wed. Good times.
Who? What? Me?
