Went today to hopefully delay a 3rd time, they only allow 2.
You get one court date when you plead not guilty
You get one freebie that you can do online
You get one more in person, but you have to pay a bond.

One + one + one + three!
So, how did you make out?
you have no say in the first court date. they issue it to you. So you cant call it a delay.
Then you can delay it twice, where you get to choose the dates.
I thought it was
Issue you a court date
Delay once online
Delay twice in person and pay a bond
Delay thrice in person and no more chances to delay.
OKay. well I lost.
Judge reduced it to $5 then the comptuer said no. the minimum is $25.
okay fine. i get to the receptionist. BAM there is an $80 surcharge.
THe ticket was orginall $80surcharge +$20fee +$30fine
instead if paid $80 surcharge+$25fine.
I saved $25 bucks.
Damn, sorry to hear that. At least you did save $25 and eat up some of the ticket profits. Good on ya for putting in the effort!
thanks. Good thing was I learned a bit about how fighting tickets works since this was my first time. I was the first one in, hoping the officer came late, but he got there exactly at 1.
But last night i saw 2 people go up against the judge (i was trying to delay my ticket) and it seems like the judge doesnt really care about anything but upholding the law and if you show up unprofessional they just shit on you. I came up and spoke as if I was talking to a commanding officer or something and the judge said your guilty, you cant have the plate underneath the bike, but ill reduce the fine to $5.
I had a piece of paper written out exactly what I was going to say, that defintely helped.
