Title: And what about breakfast?!
Post by: Cher on February 10, 2010, 05:48:16 PM

It's very cool we've got the mid week meet ups after work but is there any interest in trying to get together for breakfast/brunch once a month in the middle of the metroplex somewhere; some place in the H.E.B. area maybe?  At some point this rediculous weather is going to even out and we'll get back to some decent riding weather!

What say you; Yea or Nay?   [bacon]

In the words of the great Scott Metcalfe: "I eat lunch (make that breakfast!!) every day!" Since I am a chronic late riser due to not finding a "normal" job that would make me get up at a decent hour I am regretably able to do this. Besides , I love breakfast. The rest of my clan doesn't... yeah, they're retards. The smell of bacon is only second to the smell of burnt two stroke 250GP exhaust!! [thumbsup] [moto] [drink] I'm thinking Klotz!! [clap] [bacon] [bow_down]

I'm only in for early if someone is making a deposit or writing a check for a sale.  I HATE traffic.

Can't say I've heard of Klotz, but why not!  Wonder if there's a good deli bagel place somewhere?  Bagelstein's moved from Preston and Royal to who knows where... Oh well.

Klotz two stroke gas/oil mix used to come in little gold colored metal cans when I was a kid. Used it in my two stroke go carts and dirt bikes when I was a kid. Good memories. [thumbsup]

EDIT: You know it might have been Blendzall in the gold cans. I used both to mix up some 2 stroke go juice. Either way good 2 stroke memories for sure. Ahhh, the fouled plugs, the glass baby bottle for measuring, the acrid smell of ring ding exhaust and smoke...  ;D

This seems to be a good location (albeit in "The Oaklawn" (Dax's favorite)  [laugh])

So did ya'll get the 28' Crownline or what?  [evil]

I've not been to Ziguan before but it sounds pretty good.

Does anyone know anything about H.E.B. breakfast spots?  Delis?  I always like Bagelstein's Deli but they've moved out to Frisco (not there's anything wrong with that!)  If we could come up with more a mid-metroplex haunt, that would be ideal.  If not, I'd say Ziguan... or Stoneleigh P.

Of course this snow business will have to go.  There's going to be sand and crap on the roads for months after THAT storm  :o  I'm about to go nuts (O.K.; more nuts) with cabin fever!

Must...

Ride...

Motorcycle...

Zaguan is far better than Stoneleigh.  Try it, just up the road from AMS.  If we hadn't already eaten today when we saw you we would have invited you.

we put a down payment on a 35 foot Sea Ray.   8)

You have to keep up...  This is easier than the 6 degrees of separation...

Let me summarize.
1. We should all get together for breakfast some time. [thumbsup]
2. Muskrat posted up a flash mob for breakfast with no notice on his way to the boat show.   [evil]
3. Muskrat boasts that he bought a boat, next thing you know he will sell all of the bikes  [bang]

So to bring this full circle, I say that Muskrat is treating us all to a breakfast cruise.  I prefer my orange juice fresh squeezed, and my coffee French roast. [coffee]

Update to the executive overview:
4. If Muskrat is into spending his stimulus check, he could add to his bike collection... [cheeky]

all kidding aside I wish I could afford the 35 footer but instead Mrs. E and I are looking for something along 29 feet in the Chaparral, Sea Ray or Cobalt lines.  A very cheap one so the hunt continues, most likely an eternal one  :P

I already have a friend who has a 38 foot Sea Ray we go with all the time and the gas alone, when I offer to pay, is damn near mortgage status so that stimulus check would have to be HUGE.  But we will retire to one that has a bay to store motorcycles (ie 63 footer) and travel the world one day.  ;)

My previous boats should have been dubbed 'breakfast.'  They are less reliable than a Jensen Healey.

Post by: Cher on February 14, 2010, 05:16:38 PM

Jensen Healey?  That's cool; hadn't thought of those in years.  A friend of mine in high school had a '74 Intereceptor convertible (guess it was her family's car, come to think of it)  [laugh]

Not exactly a Jensen Healey, but still one bad ass ride.
