I was just reading the new Daytona Superbike Equipment Rules and Regulations. No surprise about the 600cc Honda's, Suzuki's, etc. Ducati 848 is eligible as well which is no surprise. But the one Ducati that WAS surprising to find that IS eligible to race is the Ducati Monster S4R! Definitely some interesting rules by the new owners!

With the minimum weight and max hp rules, any one of these could be very competitive. But it seems the twins might have an advantage. The BMW did well at Daytona this year, plus if the weight and hp is the same for all engine designs, ridability will be the biggest factor.
Literbike Equipment Rules and Regulations
All machines eligible for participation in Literbike must be approved by AMA Pro Racing and homologated by the manufacturer. Approval of homologation will require a contingency awards program that rewards the first five finishers competing on the homologated machine, by brand and model. Machines currently eligible for homologation by their manufacturer or distributor

Honda CBR1000RR

Remember it says these are the ones "currently" eligible. XXX amount of street legal version normally have to be produced to homologate a bike. And since they havent even rolled the RSV 4 off the line yet, Im interested to see which ones are still on this list in January/February, whenever the cut off is.

remember, those are the old ama homologation requirements. dmg isn't the ama and ama pro racing is no longer the american motorcyclists association.
dmg can pretty do whatever the hell they want.
Good point. I guess DMG's best scenario would be to have 10 different models on the grid. They could market it as a equal playing field. Even thought it might not be
