Phillip Island, first race at 10:00 am on Speed...Haslam has superpole on the Alstare Suzuki...
When I set the recorder last night the races were just listed as "Motorcycle Racing" at 10am & 11am. No reference to FIM, Superbike, Moto-X or anything else. Just generic racing. [bang]
Don't count the Ducati boys out or Biaggi for that matter. It looks like we'll see lots of Haslam this year and not that that is a bad thing either.
AND the races are scheduled to air on the hi-def speed as well. [thumbsup]
Yay Hi Def! Took Oceanic long enough.
Race 2 ...... Race 2 ...... Race 2 ...... [thumbsup] [thumbsup]

last season emile guys would go watch races after the rides. wonder if they're doing it this season.
Recorder is set. I'll have to leave the ride somewhat early today and go into work again. The account that never sleeps. Sigh.

Guess we'll find out today. Hell, we can all come over to my place afterwards, I've got the DVR set to record it.

I like Biaggi. I like Haslem too. What was with Corser? He had that BMW running real good at first and then faded. I keep hearing that they have an issue with how the power comes on and that it either spins the rear wheel or yanks the front end up when exiting turns which makes the rider a little slower on the gas. ? ? ? At this rate the WSBK series promises to be another cracker this year for sure. Moto GP? I guess we'll wait another week and a half to see.
It's interesting how Aprilia and Suzuki did so well on this last event compared to their rankings last year. As much as I would love to see Ducati dominate, I just can't get behind Hagga for some reason. I agree though that this year's action should be pretty exciting. I'm actually hoping that Biaggi can that Ape around all year and take the title.
I never used to like Biaggi, but it's nice to see the old guy showing the young'uns a thing or two... ;D

I always liked Biaggi - the man had style. I haven't seen any races yet this year, but I look forward to it.

You have chosen wisely.
finally watched the races on the dvr. gonna be an exciting season!!
i concur gp in hd is a sight to behold. you can even read the tiny sponsor decals on the lowers. ;D
but sbk in hd looked like a cropped sd picture, it looked worse than the pure sd.
SBK was the same old standard def broadcast, just stretched to fit the HD formatted channel.
DAMN!! Race 2 at Assen was :o :o :o

+3 No kidding! ! That may be a long term save. Totally nuts passing! Too bad Corser faded. I was really pulling for him.
no kidding, that was a crazy race!
So, any predictions who will take the races today? I think someone might have something to prove on this track. ;D
1st race on SPEED tomorrow morning at 0630. Then 2nd race isn't on until 1730. Dang! What's up with that?

Was wondering the same thing...
Races this Sunday, Aug. 1st. Donnington Park I believe and might be the only WSBK for the month of August. I have to go look at Spidey's calendar.
Haven't seen one of them in a dog's age it seems...

Actually it's being run at Silverstone which is a far better track than Donnington. No junk on the track surface and it is the only race during August for WSBK.

Interesting. Speed Channel's line up shows both races being aired back to back over here, starting at five pm.
