A follow on to the great time @ the Boyds'.
Pencil this in your schedule to join 'spoke and I at our house May 9th for an Italian Dinner and race watching party.
Spaghetti, salad, garlic bread... [wine]
Hopefully the weather will allow a ride before. [moto]
More details to follow as it gets closer (and the broadcast times get published).
;D [thumbsup] [moto]
It's about time I made another OK event.
woo-hoo [moto] we're there!
did you say ride too?
oh, can UJ show us some pottery by then and her new oven?
Damn. I'll be in Nashville.

Well, I'd make sure and designate a Moon Pie bringer before you bail ;D [laugh]
This is over two months from now. I could be dead of natural causes by then, but if not, I'm in! [thumbsup]
After all, I only need to be well enough to ride and eat.
I can do this!
oh hell, i didn't read May, I thought March. Well, is it the 7th or 9th? I don't have a WSBK schedule nearby?
I can probably make it!

Well, we need that much lead time to get the house cleaned. Plus I wanted to get the good date before Muskrat grabbed it... :o

9th, 9th, 9th, 9th, Sunday the 9th. (fixed it, sorry I have something else on the 7th of May and that is stuck in my head)...

Am I the only one who cannot understand this? Care to decipher?
Ask Fastwin. He's got all the dictionaries. [laugh]
let me explain: "hierba mala nunca muere"
a weed never dies in other words.
So that's why you went to Cali :o
Sorry gang, I was so excited for this, planned early, checked all of our work/racing/school calendars; everything was a go!
Forgot to check a normal calendar. May 9th is MOTHERS DAY.... [bang]
I'm not one, but we do have prior commitments (oh, did I say.. [bang] [bang] [bang] already.)
So we will be waiting in some ridiculously long line for mediocre food instead of having you all in for a grand time.
Trying to find another weekend that has a race that we are not already booked before the summer heat hits. Sorry guys, hope you all have a GREAT Mothers Day. [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang]
I knew you'd do it.

I knew you'd do it.
I take it that you made it through another day without a smoke... [evil]
We are looking at the racing schedule, and depending on what we decide for the season we may be able to have it one of the weekends prior to Mothers day... If not it would have to move to June, but we are still doing it, I love cooking for big groups too much to miss out on this.
We also thought about moving our Mothers day commitments up a weekend, but we are figuring that kitchen passes may be thin for that day...
It will happen, just not on Mothers day...
UJ, no worries. Stinks tho about the prior commitment thing. Been there [bang] Maybe the food will be better than expected? (Just trying to see the bright side) :D
I did........you are on my list :o
now, did I see you type something about cooking? do you know how you'll break out in hives again if you dare walk in there? I'll bet you don't know where the skillets are located. [coffee]
Mother's Day and MotoGP at Monza on the same day? What is the conflict, exactly? ??? Call me oldfashioned, but that sounds like a perfect idea for a theme party.... [evil]
Do people actually celebrate Mothers Day? I thought
guys jus came in to buy jewelry with ugly colored
stones in it :P

'spoke's mom has certain expectations (like we need to be there, no gifts, just us).
Good thing I have over the years managed my parents expectations by consistently letting them down, they are happy with a phone call within a day or two of the day... [cheeky]

So, we are taking care of the Mothers day requirements this weekend... [thumbsup]
That opens up next Sunday for the Italian Dinner and Races; so we are stealing the date back from 'skrat. He will be the honorary Grand Poobah for the day for his graciousness.
Race one broadcast starts at 2 local time.
if a pre-race ride happens, I refuse to believe the weatherman, we should be back at the house no later than 1:30. I will let the Grand Poobah and 'spoke worry about the details on that.
On the menu...
[wine] Antipasto, spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, dessert and a mix of cold beverages...
Hope many of you peeps can join us, but we understand the family commitments of the day.
PM me for directions to the house.
How do u plan on having lunch ready in 30 min? Or does this mean Spoke can ride alone that morning?
Yea! Very cool. When you get a chance can you PM me directions please ;D Can I bring a dessert or something? Maybe Moretti?
'Skrat... Don't you ever watch Rachel Ray?... ;)
Don't worry pretty head, you won't go hungry
[drink]
ok so I'm thinking the route is as follows:
meet in Celina at Preston and 455 then over to 75 and down the service road (AKA Le Mans) and onto 543 towards Weston and then down 168/166 and onto N Custer down to Webspoke and UnionJill's home. This is a short but fun little ride with some very nice twisties. Of course, if you want to start out at 9 a.m. there's more East of McKinney and that is a possibility also. Thoughts?
i should be in for this.
Next Sunday is Mother's Day? Oh shit!! [bang] My mind didn't program past the Monza WSBK races. Junior and I need to get busy. Jen takes that day real serious for some reason. [cheeky]

PM sent.
All, don't worry about bringing anything. Hopefully the day will be good for riding, so I would rather have everyone just enjoy riding... [moto]
UJ, hit me wth your addy when you get a chance. I'm trying to talk the family into a Mother's Day brunch instead of dinner so I can make this.... [evil]
Holy cow! I'm off next Sunday too!!! [thumbsup]
Lets meet early and ride; I'm group riding like when Tommy lived near by [moto]
PM the addy pretty please Sue. ;D
Heck, I may even have new tyres installed on the Hyper by then. It's nice having two to choose from.
BTW, I messed up and ordered two front tyres, so I have a Dunlop Sportmax Q2 dual compound 120/70ZR17 available. $85 and its yours or I'll keep it for two years until I need it
8) Looks like Cyclonette & I can come by for a while so please PM me your address too - let us know if we can bring anything [wine] - look forward to seeing y'all it's been a while! [beer]
This is going to be fun, can't wait to see everybody. It's going to be a long week waiting for this (and cleaning house too [roll])
PM me an address so I can get the ol' M900 down there for fun
MAYBE, I can convince ol' Marty to bring out his new-to-him M900 as well (though it needs a bit of work to get it running after sitting for several years)

Is that Jeff Brooks' M900 you're talking about?
you betcha - 98 900 with fcr's (velocity stacks only!), built VeeTwo heads, lots of powdercoating, custom Tricolore-esque paint, the last of the termi Ti full systems... Some other cool odds and ends...
Marty has let me put the bug in his ear too - I've got some "goodies" at the house - and the requisite knowledge (98 and 99 were near identical) to make it scream a little more.
But there's no doubt in my mind that the carbs are going to be simply filthy and gunked up after sitting for quite awhile. Luckily, with no airbox in the way, pulling them to service the internals should be a breeze. Its also giving Marty the opportunity to bone-up on "real mechanic skills" rather than simply the plug-n-play and button pushing of the new-fangled fuelies.
It probably needs a new battery too, replace the vacuum petcock (don't think you can rebuild 'em) and rebuild/replace the vacuum fuel pump. Pretty much, the fuel system.
Bump
Who is showing up for the ride?
eye
ewe 2.
Ride? There's a ride?
Yeap sure is and it starts at 11:00
I'm off so I'm in. Stan, Sue when should I show? I

How about 1, we should be back from the short loop by then.
You got it!
[wine] Looking forward to this - riding may be secondary to dining & drinking & carrying on for Cyette & I... so we will likely pass on riding the pre-loop although it sounds fun [bacon]
Wish I could go to this, but our Mother's Day outing will take most of the day. I'll have to record the races. Ya'll have fun. [beer]
