Wow, that's old Turkey Slayer days. Jeez, Ashok and Bryant really did exist!!! [laugh] Who'd a thought? ;D And a Leo sighting as well! Wow... archives!! [clap]
I think thats about 3 years old. I would be there if I could, you know!!
LYD, the route has changed drastically from the first time. having ridden it probably 7 times in the last three years i have made tweaks here and ther for the better. still have on section i would like to get rid of but it's just not possible or we would run out of gas.
I see bryant about once every two months. He does exsist.
That first trip caused an argument between two guys i know. Bobby told Nancy's husband that black ducati was mine. Nancy's husband responded with the classic "Bull----!!! All those souped up vespa's look the same." what a douche bag!
No need to worry LYD we will see you in sept for h/c run. even have a special stop for a "bar" burger for you. Plus cj will get duvel.
Very cool. I WILL make this one [thumbsup]
excellent!! it's good route with some tighter twisties in the beginning. little straight up an down rest. more tight twisties. gas. little straight and then sweepers (my favorite part).
just a reminder!
u better stop for gas. I hear you ran out one time long ago.
we have two stops for fuel now. one for the bulk of us and one for the 1098's and motard's. yep that is when i learned that my low fuel light does not lie. it came on and about a two miles up the road it quit running. 8 miles from hico.
Any idea how many miles between stops? I may need to load up my camelbak with petrol.
Or take a backpack, eight miles to Hico isn't to far to
fetch fuel ;D
and the sweepers are the best I've been on. I lost
my first set of chicken strips there (Hypers) [moto]
80 mph sweepers are fun! lmao!!!
get back to you on distances between fuel stops.
40 miles stop for gas for superbikes. 55 miles gas stop for everyone. then 75 miles into hico. remember the first section is on the gas off the gas. middle section is a mix. last section are those sweepers we went barrelling through.
Thanks. I can make 75 if I'm careful in that section.
Have to pay he piper for those extra 100cc's. Pretty sure I can clear the 75mi leg with my 'small block'. Planning on making this run [moto]

bumpitty-bump ;D
April the 11th just keeps getting closer and closer [evil] Can't wait! Fingers crossed for good weather [thumbsup]
I was considering this ride but Jen told me last night about Colin's revised baseball game schedule. All I heard was blah blah blah blah double header on the 11th blah blah blah blah... I'll have to re-check the schedule to make sure I was even paying attention. The games keep moving around. If it is a double header I'll be taking a hammock and a pillow instead of a camp chair. ;D Hope she's wrong, haven't been to the Koffee Kup for lunch/pie in a long time! [thumbsup]
10 day looks promising........but
trust me brian that kid will have hundreds of games.
He can't go. I bought his bikes 8)
A buck ninety five took them all. [moto] Now I just need to find a nice comfy Hardley cruiser. [thumbsup]
OK que the 'skrat comments!! [laugh]
told the wife it's a 12 hour ride day and she said bye bye to me and to have fun. I'm in. Now, is anyone from the Oklahoma area going so we can slab together?
I would love to do this but I can't. I have a mates stag night on the Saturday [drink] [drink], so I'll probably be hung over and then a work golf event on the Sunday which I should (must) attend.
I'm sure you all will have a good time and start planning the next one.
Id love to do it, but Im at barber for a race saturday the 10th :'(

let me know if you are coming. i would hate to throw the kickstands up and take off while you sit at starbucks wondering where we all went.
"game time decision"
Jay is in too, and hopefully our friend Bill on his RC51. He got rear ended on it waiting on a stopped school bus by an 18 year old female suspected of texting. Hope he gets it fixed in time.
This is my favorite run and CC plans it well [thumbsup]
I still don't know if I can make it. [bang]
I've not posted because I didn't want to get my hopes up.
I SHOULD know in a few days. ???
Well, double header confirmed at Bishop Lynch. Hopefully I will be hospitalized by then and won't have to go. [bang] Nice run, wish I could make it. I'll try it on another day with a different group. [thumbsup] Have fun and be safe. [moto]
Count me in. My back has healed up nicely and work is finally slowed down enough to enjoy some r&r (rest & relaxation that is; not Ron & Rich ;D)
What's the plan for lunch? Koffee Kup was a little "off" last time.
Sounds like M might join as long as work doesn't get in the way.
Looking forward to a fun ride. [thumbsup] [moto]
we can do koffee kup or there is a mexican food place they say is really good.

plus let me know if anyone wants to stop for ice cream on the way back. i know a great custard place or a place where we can harrass the owner!
Bryant might be armed! [laugh]
mmm... ice cream [thumbsup] Not particular about lunch - Mexican food or KK is OK by me ;D
Good to hear Will can now push little key thingys now

I look white enough, I think. :o I'll make sure the wifey doesn't call and make me speak Spanish or I'll be thrown out of the Kup. I vote for the custard place. I quit smoking so I'm eating like an idiot.

I'm cool with whatever y'all want to do. It's my fault I ordered the chicken fried steak last time. [puke] My vote is that it's your ride Chris so it's your pick. KK is tradition, but they say change is inevitable so it's a tossup in my book. Might be a "tossup" in my helmet if I order the chicken fried steak again. [laugh]

Seriously, kudos for stopping the worst single thing you can do to your health, other than buying your wife a kitchen appliance as a gift.
Smoking is for two-strokes, anyway. [beer]
Right about now I'm thinking quitting is the single worst mistake. :-\
now who has a pack cigs they wanna donate?
Hang in there man! You CAN do it [thumbsup]
Just remember one thing for now: Food - GOOD, Cigs - BAD.
Your life will thank you later.
I have 48 hours under my belt. I don't think I've wanted one so bad before. Kinda like the first time you....... :-X
Keep it up! Seek other stimulation. Cigars maybe?

I'll take issue with your ugly ass tomorrow!
ok so for those guys coming from the Northern territories how about we meet at 8:30 a.m? I was thinking of going down George Bush tollway all the way down to I20 to avoid 121 in Grapevine which is under construction. We could also run down I35 and onto loop 12 to I20.
If you're going let us know so we can plan a place to meet all and ride down there.
You will want to stay away from the Texas stadium area tomorrow. It is being imploded in the am. Roads around there are going to be closed not to mention the resulting traffic.
I'll be coming down 360 from Euless. PM me if you want to meet up.
The construction delays on 635/121/114 north of the airport should not be too bad on Sunday, early. It really sucks during peak traffic but is managable otherwise.
If we do end up going that way, it can put us at the northern-most part of 360 - right by dallaS2R. Is there a landmark over there where we could all meet then cruise down to I20?
Or we could all turn up at dallaS2R's house for breakfast then all just go from there [evil]
I'll tell em to show up early. 996, yellow 1098, and maybe
a Buel to join you guys.
Will, pm me your addy.
I'm liking 121/360 meetup idea

Sure, what are you bringing? ;D
To make it easier to find, lets meet at... you guessed it... STARBUCKS. There's one near the SE corner of Glade & 121. We can access 360 from Glade and take that all the way past 20 to Debbie Ln. Should take us about 30-35 minutes to get down there. Here's a link to the map (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=3020+Highway+121+Euless,+TX+76039-4001&sll=32.881083,-97.09543&sspn=0.012524,0.01929&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=3020+Hwy+121,+Euless,+Tarrant,+Texas+76039&ll=32.88056,-97.09867&spn=0.012975,0.01929&z=16&iwloc=A) for the Euless Starbucks and here's one for the route down (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=3020+Hwy+121,+Euless,+TX+76039&daddr=TX-360+S+to:32.600626,-97.147293&geocode=FZC49QEdUWQ2-iljq8CEVtVNhjGXzF1nNysP6Q%3BFWxl9QEdcuk2-g%3B&hl=en&mra=dme&mrcr=0&mrsp=2&sz=13&via=1&sll=32.574158,-97.12841&sspn=0.104154,0.154324&ie=UTF8&ll=32.739927,-96.992111&spn=0.415843,0.617294&z=11).
Let's say kickstands up at 9:00 so plan accordingly. I'll probably be there 8:30ish to get some coffee and chill out. We can gas up at the Mobil station once we get down there.
Please post up here if you plan on meeting in Euless so we don't leave without you.
I know that Starbucks. I'll leave the homestead around 8:15 and catch you there. Tom is out, the only one left up North that might go is Stan but he can't decide if he wants to play cars or bikes. All this of course if I get my bike back today.

I have no idea what you're talking about. 8) Just couldn't stand being stuck behind that line of semi's anymore, especially with that tasty looking uphill sweeper coming up. I probably could have made the full distance but I figured I'd better cut in just to be on the safe side ("safe side" seems an ironic choice of words considering the maneuver ;D) My biggest error in judgment was thinking that scrubbing off about 70 mph of speed going downhill in that short space was going to be an easy thing. The bike could have handled a lot more braking force, but my tired body was close to limit.
I am one tired mofo. I'm going to sleep like a baby.
It was great to see everyone again and to meet Mark. No tickets, no get-offs; all in all a good day to be alive and riding. [thumbsup]
