Title: Vitesse Moto
Post by: dutchy73 on March 15, 2010, 04:40:18 PM
An old co-worker of mine just started this new brand out of France. http://www.vitessemoto.com/ (http://www.vitessemoto.com/) Wondering what you all think.

Now I just need to convince him to send me a pair of Hunt's to try out.  [wine]

If they send an extra 12 wide, let me know.  They look great - I wish your friends good luck and great success in their venture.

By the time I got those laced, I'd be late to work!

That said, if Robin Hood called, I'd be good to go!!!   [cheeky]

If laces aren't your thing, they have you covered...  ;D

Any reason they went with black protective pucks on a Brown boot? Other than that, I think they are pretty cool. Would be nice to find a pair of boots that protect and that I can wear at the office without feeling like a dork.

They look like moto-inspired fashion footwear.... While they're quite nice, they dont look like they'd provide too much protection in a crash- unless the safety features are rather stealthy. (Don't get me wrong... they look sweet)
A Dr. once told me the two hardest parts to put back together are hands and feet- i've been doing the overkill protection thing since.

with so many bones in the hands and feet its damn near impossible to get them back together right if they are really busted up, afterall what do you anchor a metal plate to? another 1/2 diameter bone?

same here, always get the best boots/gloves you can get especially the gloves.  i go with full guantlet gloves everytime no matter how hot it is outside.

I'd wear a pair of the 1st ones , size 49 , as casual wear.

the press release on the boots is that they don't look like race boots, but they have the same level of protection -- some special construction they call a "v cockpit" that's centered on the ankle/heel area.  Not having seen the boots beyond some pics on the web, I don't know if it's true or just market speak, but it is promising.

Anybody have any experience with these yet? I really like the looks of them, kind of tones down the power ranger vibe! I feel like a tool going anywhere nicer than the neighborhood bar wearing my moto gear, I think these could help.
