KCI has sold its Ducati franchise, this time for real. It was bought by the people that run the motorcycle school over by Graham's Central Station. Hopefully this means better parts and service for us all.
yeah I was just at the Patriot Powersports website and noticed an ad saying the Ducati franchise had sold. Should be able to pick up some Duc gear at reduced prices :-)

wow, please tell us if a fire sale happens!
Will do. They are a block away from my dealership. I may have to stumble over there at lunch.

Hmm - it says they are moving to a new location, I wonder if they are moving into the KCI building?
Nah Kemal the old owner is keeping that location for who knows what. Patriot is looking at a location on by Cherry Ridge and 410. Maybe I should apply for a job [evil]
I went by the current location on Fredricksburg Rd. today and I would say your probably better off waiting till they move to their new location. It is very very small at the Fred Road location. Unless you need service. I spoke with John and he said they should be able to start servicing bikes tomorrow. Their new Mechanics name is Steve.

So what's the word on the Duc gear? Are the prices discounted?
I'll be in SA this weekend. I wouldn't mind fitting in a visit at KCI if it was for some discounted gear. I need a new 1 piece. :D
Ill look into it for you buddy.
Rode by there this morning. Didn't stop but just riding by the place appears completely vacant. :P
Happened to go by KCI today and it looked lkike they were taking all the canopies down
Has anyone visited Patriot Powersports? Seems as though their website quit working after taking over the Ducati dealership. Hopefully not an ominous sign.
Yeah I went by a few weeks ago. They have a lot on their plate. They are looking for a bigger location.
The new shop is open and they have quite a few bikes on display.
The new website works at http://www.ducatisanantonio.com (http://www.ducatisanantonio.com)
12066 Starcrest Drive Suite 110,
Located across from Blossom Athletic Complex.
Well hopefully they can take care of my tank for me. KCI was supposed t order one for me and get it done under warranty but never heard back from them.
I'm a little confused...

Are'nt they selling new bikes? Anyone know the story behind these folks? I'll probably continue to head up to Austin for service etc for awhile.
I think they need to update their website. They bought the franchise from Kemal. They have Steve the tech from KCI. Besides, I thought you were selling that thing.
Aye, knew they got it from Mr. Cinagrolu. I certainly hope the level of...aherm...service, honesty etc. is several bars above what it was when he had it.
I was wondering if ya'll would remember about that ;) Bottom line is I changed my mind! Not about the woman, but selling. I went and test rode a Triumph Thunderbird to get an idea and let's just say that made me realize I would NOT be happy on a cruiser. So, I've deciced to keep the Monster and get a cruiser. :) Besides, the Monster has my 40th birthday present to myself on it! Speaking of which, I'm interested in getting a pannier/sidebag to stick on the monster until a cruiser's in the garage. I checked out the Ducati Performance single side bag, but wow, $230!
Well that's good to hear your keeping it. As far as service is concerned, I believe the current owner is aware of the task at hand. I have spoken to him through email to congratulate him on the new endeavour. Time will tell how it all plays out.
Stopped in today, to say howdy and drool on the bikes in the showroom. The dealership is not officially open yet, they are still remodeling and waiting on paperwork, signs etc. They are going to hold a grand opening as soon as everything is in place.
They are doing service now, and are a little backlogged due to getting parts. They are in all the right "systems" now and parts orders are flowing so they expect to catch up on service soon.
Friendly and made me feel very welcome. Heard some good ideas for building ties in the community.
Hope it all comes together. 8)
I hear the tech is good. ;)
