Jen and I had a heart to heart talk tonight and considering all my physical problems (knee replacement maybe times two, major shoulder surgical rebuild, and general neck vertebrae and upper back pain) I should give up bike riding. I know I've been up on two wheels for over 45+ years and never thought I would quit. But I think now is the time to retire and with me in the job hunt mode the timing seems right. So, I will give all my local DMF friends a shot at my bike collection for pennies on the dollar. I'll let the bidding begin here otherwise I will be forced to go to ebay motors.
I don't care what they go for I just want them gone. Jen hates bikes so this will make her very happy. It's time to clean house. Nice knowing y'all but my riding days are done. It just hurts too much to ride for long distances and I have other hobbies to pursue. I have longed to start a business of making classical violins and cellos for selected customers. Classical music is my love and the wind instruments have always been my passion. So, make an offer on any of my bikes and if it's a decent offer I will personally deliver it to your house! They just need to go so I can move on with my life.
Oh, by the way... happy April fools!!! [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]
BASTARD!!!!!!!!!! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
I already had plans for Back in Black. [bang]
Don't worry... I have left it to you in my will! [laugh]
[clap] [clap] [clap]
Nice [thumbsup] I was just thinking how unusually quiet our bunch of hooligans had suddenly become on such an auspicious day... [evil]
Well, since it is a sham, just keep on collecting... don't let this one get away...

Well, at least he didn't say he was giving 'em all up for a Harley.... :P
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Yes there is! [laugh]

I'm buying a rattle can of chrome paint and going to your house CJ. Just wait till I'm done.
Nice one. You had me going there. What a tease!
me too :'(
after all when he mentioned his age I thought it true because rarely do you find 80 year olds riding bikes.
Good one Brian. ;D
Is the April Fool custom the same here as it is in England? If so and the timestamps are correct you posted this after 12 PM which makes you the fool and as I spotted it I can claim the bike of my choice. [moto]
Take your pick! [laugh] And everyone already knows I'm a fool!!
Kept waiting for one of you clowns to post some April Fools Day nonsense but I got tired of waiting so I made something up. Someone HAD to do it. ;D The physically falling apart was all true! :P Sad but a fact. The next time you see a post like that from me I might not be kidding. [bang]
you bastard
It's not like I haven't heard that before. [laugh] I take that as a compliment since the Aprils Fool bs accomplished it's mission. [cheeky]
Well hell I just found out my wife's inheritance just got through probate. I was thinking of a 750ss.

No more teasing now [leo]
Sorry, I only have a '77 900SS, no 750SS bikes. It's a parts box jobber but it is a Berliner Import with the left hand shift conversion/jack shaft set up to comply with the new (back then) Federal left hand shift rules. Had the motor completely rebuilt with Imola cams and had the gearbox gears under cut. The motor is still in the same shipping crate I built for it in the 80's. Can you say time capsule? ;D
Brian,
Just saw this and wanted you to know I support your decision to follow your bliss. In fact, I have decided to resume my concert career after all these years. What will the price range of your violins be? I was wondering if you might consider building a bespoke little number in carbon fiber? [laugh]
(I know it was a joke, but I believe, like Christmas, we should share the spirit of April's Fools Day the whole year 'round!) [beer] [moto]
Screw the violins, I want the Le Mans [evil]
Cool.. it's yours. [thumbsup] But you think your current Le Mans has issues??? :P
quit making promises and follow through [leo] you have a line out the door that should keep you in cash-flow heaven for a while longer. lets move some product.

You know I got a little excited and meant to say 900ss. That is THE bike that got me into Ducati in the first place. If there was ever a bike that I would give it up for that's the one.

[laugh] [laugh] Yeah, I suppose that's true. Maybe I can cobble them both together to make one running bike. Nah, what are the chances...? Wait a minute... your '74 Le Mans has
exactly the same parts as my 2002?!
