and why people in socal ride so many sportbikes with full leathers on and such.
finally drove up to the rockstore and saw the bikes and then drove to the top of mulholland hwy.
now i see why poeple find that road so fun, and why poeple can knee drag up that thing.
between the cars and the bikes going up and down the thing, it looked like an amusement park ride with hearing nothing but inline 4s the entire time.
didnt' see any ducs out there no d16 or 1098s/r out there so was a little dissapointed.
A nice road with high traffic like you describe sounds like a death trap.
Or a speed trap [laugh]
Mulholland is a VERY fun ride to drive. I've never rode it though...
It's best hit early in the morning (before 8) or on a weekday.
Weekends are best for people watching.

exactly, i never said i condone or encourage anyone to do it, but if you have never been there, its a 2 lane road with a double yellow line down the center with no shoulder on either side, and almost all the turns are blind turns, you have elevation changes going through a chicanes, some of the turns come up very fast after another, there isn't very much room for error at certain points... its totally not a safe thing to do and yes you are right it is a place you can get a ticket.
but on a nice sunday its a cool show to watch people riding it.
