Question:
You find out you have 2 years to live. Which bike would be your last?
Option 1: A bike from a mfg you've admired for 10+ years
Option 2: A bike that you think is the sexiest on the market now
Option 3: A bike that might technically be the best available
Thanks for participating.
Boobies.
And for me, as far as bikes go, being the best makes a bike the sexiest.
Boobies.
If I had 2 years left to live, I'd be thinking of more important things to do...like not dying...and Boobies. YMMV.
Why are you going to the common grave in two years?
Scarlett Johannsen.
boobies AND bacon

"more important things" than enjoying yourself by doing what you like to do?
Here's an analogy:
Me: What would your last meal be on death row?
You: I'd be doing more important things that eating. Like not being on death row. Oh, and boobies. Mmmmm, death row boobies. argh [drools]
I already bought that bike for myself. Hope I last longer than two years. ;D
Seriously though, you should always behave as if your time on this planet is finite (it is) and as if the time remaining is shorter rather than longer (it may very well be). You'll make better life decisions.

This was the pretty depressing answer:
Final Meal Requests of Texas Death Row Inmates (http://web.archive.org/web/20031001190442/www.tdcj.state.tx.us/stat/finalmeals.htm)
Vincent Black Shadow, with a Steib Bullet sidecar, and Heidi Klum!
On second thought, if I had two years to live I'd buy a better life insurance policy ;D

So you'd blow the last two years of your life and $$$ on a motorcycle...with a decent percentage of shortening said 2 years?
Is a mode of transportation that important? LOL
So in short, yeah, the more important things...the things "I" enjoy...have nothing to do with a motorcycle.
To me, it's a hobby...something to pass time.
As I said... YMMV.
The one I am riding...
I doubt that riding (something most of us do alone) would be the way I would spend the majority of my time given a definitive end date. I would definitely continue to ride, but it would have to include the people most important to me.

Break Jamie's pelvis?
I'd get a 'Busa.
I'm hope that the other 1 year 364 days of the year I would've had gets given (grammer fail?) to someone with cancer as I go out in flames.....or pieces.

Having worked with lots of people of all ages at the ends of their lives, I could not possibly agree more. The only time any of us really has is right now.
That said, if I had 2 years left I would buy... as little as possible. I'm the earner for my family, so I'd be earning as much, spending as little, and saving as much as possible. My wife and child are my priority.
My wife would probably encourage me to get whatever I want. Fortunately, I've got the bikes I want right now, so I wouldn't have to spend anything to get them.
I really do try to live every day as if it could be my last. I also don't presume that my wife or son will be around in the future and try not to take them for granted.
