Hey guys and gals.... long time. Just wanted to drop you guys a line about a little get together this Sunday at my gelato shop. Donald has been good enough to help me out with some promo pics that I been wantng to get done. I know some of you guys already know about this via facebook, but for those that don't if you want to come out and hang out and have a cup of gelato on the house feel free. The more the merrier!
Ducs will be involved in the promo pics!
Meet up at 10am and shoot at 1030
305 W FM1382
Cedar Hill, Texas 75104
I'll check my schedule.
I'll try to make this.
How are we going to fit all these bikes in the store! ;D

I'll check my schedule.
you need to clean yours first.
What day?
-and my last trip to Italy I had whiskey flavored Gellato -it was Effin' AMAZING!!!
If someone was having a BBQ on July 10th (which BTW you are going to... right!?) what would the cost be on a big fat tub of
whiskey gellato?
<edit> whiskey -it has an "E" in it... ;)
I'd love to check this out but we have a double header again this Sunday! [bang] Knew about the first one but now we have two, it's a make up game from this last weekend's rain out. :P
Sounds like a Duc/gelato blast!! Y'all have fun. [thumbsup] [moto]
excuses are like assholes, everyone has one. how many more assholes can you have? [laugh]
Now you have gone and hurt my feelings. :'(
What really hurts is knowing people are having fun on their bikes at Bryant's while I'm stuck watching junior and his team get their head handed to them again. [bang] Thank God for the 5 run per inning rule!! It keeps me from staring at my watch for an hour and a half. :P

That's for sure. Maybe I'll bring the BMW and some strudel to offset the Italians in the bunch. [cheeky]
8) I would prefer the outrigger with your bicycle on either moto to strudel - just because it's the stuff! [bow_down]
But you Will be feisty lately so it's merely on the wish list ! [beer]
Others wishes: some real, some fantasy -
the Duke(& )Pugglepod - the BinB - CDC's old 916s - DesmoTricolore - VESPA (s) - Megan Fox .... [moto]
We can do a quick group shot of everyone & it's not a competition, but the objective is to make the shop look fun to visit so we might use fewer bikes for the promo shots. Might need some people to be models. It'll be fun.

Now
that would be cool!
I hope to be able to make this. [moto]
Yep, it should be a good time and I know we'll have a good mix of bikes and laughs as we try to glam up the spot our ugly mugs. Basically the goal is as Donald said, make the place look fun and inviting with a bit Italian 2wheelers to add to the flair.
Perhaps I should see about "borrowing" the BinB or 996 from Mr Fastwin for a day ;)
PM me about the 996S. It's sitting in my garage and you still live by WRL right?

Nah... you're stuck on the Busa. Or you could borrow mine! [laugh] They're all one down and five up! ;D
I don't have my Sunday schedule yet ???
How about showing up at Bryans storage and riding
his fleet to the pic meet?
[moto] Very generous offer you made to ....Bryant... Fastwin. Sorry you can't be there - you are the second best looking guy in the group too! We could have used your modeling skill. [bang]
I think Dan's onto something. [evil]

Show up! Great weather, no excuses.
So, Blue Foots, wanna meet at the Shell again? [roll]
Did you forget about the oakies?
Post up. Let's meet.
Gee, I dunno about this....the Multi is down again, i'd have to wash the Monster, 10 o'clock is awful early in the morning, it rained yesterday and might rain again next Thursday, my good shirt is at the cleaners, there are bugs on all my faceshields, and I'm ugly, old, and lactose intolerant. :-[
OK, I guess that about covers all my excuses, I'm going. [thumbsup] TG, 'skrat, 'spoke, et al: where and when is the C/FB contingent supposed to meet up with the FriscOkies?

There are three Starbucks within a 1/2 mile of Belt Line and DNT. I assume we are meeting at the one on the Southeast corner of Beltline and Quorum Pkwy, which is the closest one on the West side of DNT.
I'll try and be early and find the most visible Starbcks

you're telling me. I'm glad I finally got a chance to ride a Tamburini (sp?). I now understand you're issues with the "twitchiness" but it helps to have a few beers in you to "smooth things out". I was pretty effed up when I rode it though so I probably won't remember the experience, but let me thank u now before I forget. [thumbsup]
Yeah, I also felt the "twitchy" in transmission, and the wheel kept popping up in fro t of the dubliner. Tough to tell if that was the bike, the espresso from Bryant, or the guinness but overall the power delivery and handling was seriously tits...
I liked riding it through the fountain area chasing the girls. Talk about fun [moto]
Seriously though, great everything Bryant. Evening meet there would rock!
And to satisgy a request, a pic

Well the 996S didn't fail to turn heads and be the belle of the ball. I think after riding it, my desire for Tamburini is back. I was really comfy on it and don't have any real issues with it. Hmmm, let the search begin.
Build your own (like me).
Note: more costly, but you get the exact features you want.
I don't know about building one, but all I know is that I will have one in my garage one day. I knew riding fastwin's 996S would bring back the Tamburini desire back. Might have to go back to the college day diet of Ramen noodles to save up.
Will and Patrick... way ahead of you guys! [laugh] Figured there would be at least 10-12 of posts more gonzo than that! [cheeky] Problem for you guys is I knew Bryant would keep the hooliganism in check on my bike. My ace? I have HIS bike in my garage as hostage!!! [thumbsup] [bang] [popcorn]
Really glad the weather and turn out was so great for B and the shop! [clap] How can a group get together like that not be fun? And the goofing off afterwards. [beer]
And yes... the twitchiness does seem to get better after a few Newcastles. At least for me. ;D [evil]
Yeah, there were some lustful eyes on the 996S today. Can't say thanks enough for letting me borrow it for the shoot. [thumbsup]
Many thanks again and again.
Have to say I did fall in love w/ the Tamburini bikes again and then the waitress at the Dallas Pizza Lounge... I'll be there more often for the view and the po'boy drink special

Buy one 916/748/996/998 frame. (I grabbed a never registered 200
3 748 frame).
Choose Biposto or Monoposto. (I chose Monoposto).
Choose track/street. (I choose track). Get headlight bracket/fairing stays or track fairing stay, and related headlight fairing.
Choose 998 style fairing, or the others.
Choose motor. (998 would be the obvious choice here, and get it thoroughly built for your "needs". Other good choice 748-->853cc - in the words of Wayne's World, it wails.) (I chose 900ie for a more noteworthy project).
Obtain wiring harness by any means possible (including but not limited to taking one from somebody's bike when they are not looking).
Grab swingarm. Grab wheels and brakes. Order up some good fork cartridges and a nice shock, and spend a weekend putting it all together. Call me, I'll help.
Here's where we are at so far on mine:
Then again, a nice condition 996/998 can be had for mid 8k's or less. And its already put together. Only trouble is it may be biposto and you wanted monoposto (or vice versa). It could be the color you don't want, or it may come with flaking rockers unbeknownst to you.

[bow_down] RIP CDC miss ya buddy!
What a fun picture too.
I love the only pics the group has of Charles and I FINALLY getting our two 916SPS bikes together at a group race watch at Motopia in summer 2008. I think... was it last summer?? [bang] He and I talked of getting them together many times. I know a bunch of you were there so maybe you remember the year better than me. I know I PM'd Donald lately because I was looking for a couple of particular shots and I know he took a few that day. cdc was sitting on his bike out front as I was warming mine up and pulling away... and taking shit for wearing a vented Joe Rocket Suzuki jacket while riding a SPS!! [laugh]
I asked George recently about Charles' wife and family and his bikes. He said the ST was for sale in Ft. Worth (as some of you have noted on other threads) and the SPS was going to be pickled and would live in a special spot inside their home as a very honorable tribute to Charles and his love of Ducatis and riding. I only wish my wife was a 10th as understanding and caring in that regard. [clap] [bow_down] [thumbsup]

But I cherish the moments I had... like this! [laugh] God speed cdc and it serves as a leason to all of of us to never take our lives, our friends and our passions for granted. This isn't a dress rehearsal... there are no do-overs, no mulligans. I guess I'm preaching to the choir here. I know riding bikes can do without me, but I cannot do without riding bikes... and being with those friends that do the same! [thumbsup]

I was up at ESC Saturday and saw the 916SPS. Talked to Martha and she said that his wife brought it in for all the needed maintenance because although she's selling the ST4 she's putting the SPS in the den at home as a display. Very cool of her I think. Martha said she's holding up pretty well considering.
