Title: 1st Monster
Post by: KPMonster696 on April 21, 2010, 12:51:41 AM
Hey Guys,

My name is Jimmy and I'm originally from NJ.  I just bought a 2009 Monster 696 from a friend of mine.  It has 3k miles and the Termi exhaust and ECU upgrade along with aftermarket bars, mirrors and grips.  I'm a first time rider and first time Ducati owner.  I've only heard good things about the Ducati's and especially the Monsters.  I'm excited to start riding and look forward to good discussions in this forum.

Best Regards,

Jimmy

Congrats and welcome to the forum, Jimmy!
Two things:
-If you haven't done it yet, take a MSF course. www.msf-usa.org (//http://) -This will teach you how to survive out there.
-Get some good gear and wear it.

Then enjoy the ride!

Thanks for the input guys.  I'm already enrolled in a class coming up called Rider Education of New Jersey which is a 3 day course that teaches the basics.  My dad is a long time motorcycle rider and he suggested I take this course.  I will also look into the MSF course.  As soon as I get an online photo website account, I'll post some on the forum.  Thanks again!
