Anyone know of Texas databases where I can pay to get as much personal info on someone as possible given his license plate? possibly will have a name in the future. willing to pay, just hoping to avoid a P.I. even though I've kind of always wanted a reason to hire one, can't afford it.

No help here, at least not any more. When I worked at the Frank Crowley criminal courthouse here in Dallas I ran State District Criminal Courts (felony not misdemeanor) for State District judges. I had the authority to run criminal background checks and license plates. I don't work there any more and since I left they yanked the plate running ability from the folks who now do my job. Someone must have screwed up or abused the authority. I still have ways (being sneaky as you claimed! [laugh]) that might work. PM me with your troubles if you want. Maybe I could call in the right favor. [thumbsup]
not smart in the least. if you're trying to dig dirt and you do it by abusing the system you will be the one defending yourself. unless it's a criminal offense I'd pony-up and pay a PI. If you're doing this don't you think the one you're after has thought of this already and is monitoring you?

Muskrat- the person I am investigating has no idea who I am and will, God willing, be in jail pretty soon. I am simply trying to determine if the person has enough assets to convince a lawyer to take the case on a commission basis rather than paying upfront to a lawyer by the hour. Help will be hired, but unfortunately I am stuck in system limbo while things get processed!
I seem to remember Fastwin getting ripped for this before. Why does everyone have such tight panties? ( no offense to the ladies that frequent the board ) Don't act like none of you haven't ever crossed a line or called in your own favor from time to time. A connection of mine arguably changed the path of my life with a favor when I was in college. Sometimes this world is about knowing people in the right places with the right connections, not just riding the straight and narrow on your own.
Try a google search of "license plate lookup". First hit charged $29 for:
• First & Last Name of the Registered Owner
• Owner's Address
• VIN Number
• Original Title Number
• Car Registration Date
• License Expiration date
• Make & Model of the Vehicle
• Name of the Registered Lien Holder
which is probably as much info as you'll be able to find through the internet. With the address, I'd try plugging it into zillow.com for an estimate on their home price and the prices in the neighborhood. That would give you a better idea of their income/asset level.

On a serious basis, I'm having trouble with my cop friends. They naturally want you to let the local authorities deal with this and I can see why. They don't want their fingerprints on this. I certainly know why you are going after the guy's ID but my friends also see why this is could be a ruse and there are other reasons for this. Like revenge or retribution.
I believe you. Why would you post this and PM me with the details? It sounds legit to me and you only want this info for civil attorney reimbursement reasons. It's a make the beast with two backsed up world we live in for so many reasons. Please bang your head on the available hard item.
