38" waist, 6'5" tall.
I've got one perf jacket, a ducati one. I'd like to be able to zip it to something.
Help!
Do you know who makes the jacket? Dainese?
Pretty sure it's made by them, yes.
I was thinking of the new Astars A10 leather/textile pants.. They come with another zipper, but I'm no seamstress, and would have no idea how to sew that zipper on the jacket....
AFAIK, Dainese only zips to Dainese. Unless you have a leather seamstress sew in a matching zip to either the pants or the jacket.
I haven't been able to find the matching brand of zipper (can't remember the name right now... Opti?) that Dainese uses in other manufacturers, so I ended up getting some Dainese leather pants (Firefly) which fit nicely.
Ducati leather pants are made by Dainese .
Your Ducati Jacket should zip to Dainese leather pants , probably Textile as well.
I'm 6'4-5" and wear size EU 58 Ducati and Dainese .
That's a US size waist 40.You should wear a size 56 EU in Ducati or Dainese , that's a U.S. 38
My inseam is 35".
Dolph :)
And they fit? Thanks Dolf! I'd rather buy a decent set of pants that will work with my jacket, then have to buy a mid-level set of pants and a new jacket.
Ordered me up some "SF" perforated Dainese pants. Got 2 sizes, I'll pick the better and send the other ones back.

Wise choice Taftonomos....you won't regret your decision.
I have 6 pairs and contemplating the 7th just 'cause I saw a pair I liked with lots of RED on them.
When you get them take a big whiff of that great leather smell and admire the quality craftsmanship.

Yeah, I'm 6'4" and wear 38" waist X 36" inseam jeans. Dainese pants seem to work for me, size-wise. They cost a ton, though, and they're very ride-specific. Their touring pants are just touring, their sport pants are just sport. The jeans... well, since they discontinued the kevlar-woven ones, their other "moto-jeans" don't feel tough enough for me. Seriously... my Levi's feel beefier. I'd rather use better-fitting Levis with some add-on armor underneath.
So anyway... I found a Dainese suit on super-duper clearance for track/sport duty. 2-pc suits aren't okay at track days except for the slow group, so dropping $400 on the Dainese sport pants would be a waste for me.
For commuting, touring, and nights out on the town, I've ordered the Icon Automag leather overpants. They get lots of reviews saying they're cut way long (they're supposedly cut/hem-to-length), which of course will be great for me. We'll find out today when they arrive. They look like a great pant for everything but track and sport duty. "Cool" enough to ride into the city w/o looking like a dork, accessible enough for commuting, versatile enough for touring.

I don't know why you couldn't wear a pair of Dainese Mekong leather pants Touring or Sport riding.
I have a pair and have ridden in them on my BMW K 1300 GT as well as my Ducati 1098-R in the twisties.
They don't have Knee sliders but I never gave a thought to whether they were specific to Touring or Sport riding.
I don't do much Knee draggin' on the road although I have several pair of Dainese leather pants w, sliders and have worn those pants on the BMW.
Maybe I'm just weird about what I wear.
Usually I just grab a pair and go.
I'm more picky about which Jacket or Helmet I'm going to wear.
Dolph :)
Oh snap :)
THese pants are nice, and zip to my jacket. Fit pretty good while on the bike. Jaket digs into my neck a bit when crouched over, but the pants are sweet. I went with the 56's (58's fit a bit looser), but since I'll be dropping about 20lbs in the next few months....I hope the 56's will still fit me :D
Thanks for the recommendation Dolf. $350 for these is only 50$ more than the Astars I was going to buy, but I suspect these are heads/shoulders above them in quality.
Smell nice too [laugh]
Sorry Dolph, I forgot about the Mekong pants. I never gave them a second thought after dropping them from my list of considerations. They look like sport pants that are missing something (sliders). Just looked kinda goofy to me. Totally personal preference... I like to either look marginally okay (streetable pants/overpants, like the Icon Automags), or like a serious tourer (Aerostich), or I'm going full-tilt-boogie and plan on dragging knees (Dainese 1-pc w/sliders). For me, the Mekongs were a lot of money on something that didn't fit any of my riding moods. Now, if I had a K-GT and sport-toured all over the place but never planned on dragging a knee with it, I could see owning a pair of the Mekong pants. (and dayum, I would love to own a K1200GT or K1300GT [thumbsup])
Can't say whether you're weird about what you wear or not... I know I am. ;D
(consider that a disclaimer that any and all gear-related advice by me is heavily biased by my unusual preferences on combining style and function)

If you loose weight and they get lose, what you might want to do is get a pair of Dainese Pro Shorts.
I wear a pair of them under my leathers. They have good hard armor for the Hips and Tail Bone.
They have 2 zippers down each side of the front and the body is a very loose web so they add very little as far as constriction or heat.
