My name is Chris and I live in Buffalo, NY. My first bike was a 1977 Yamaha XS360. My brother borrowed it over a winter because he has a longer riding season than me (he's in Virginia) and while he was borrowing it he tried to turn it into a cafe racer. Unfortunately he installed some gremlins in the electrical system so the bike wouldn't start anymore. [bang] I looked at it as a good opportunity to upgrade to something new and shiny. On 4-2-2010 I took home my brand new 2009 Monster 696. Since the dealer offered to throw in the labor for free on any accessories I bought the day I purchased the bike, I had them put on a CW fender eliminator and a LED taillight from CW that has the turn signals built into it.

Not the greatest pictures since they were taken with my cell phone and my hands shake, but better than nothing.
The Frame stickers are coming off as soon I get a chance to remove them. I like the fork reflectors so they are staying though (I know I'm in the minority on that one but they are a little added visibility).
Welcome Chris, congrats on the 696! [thumbsup]
Thanks for sharing the pictures, looks great. I'm in the minority with you as far as the fork reflectors go. 8)
have fun! [moto]
