Title: converse style riding boots?
Post by: acteg on May 23, 2010, 05:11:29 AM
Anyone know of any converse styled motorcycle boots?  I love wearing chucks, and would love to find some that offer some protection (besides the leather hi-top chucks - doubt those would hold up in a crash).  Obviously, it wouldn't be track type protection, but something better than wearing regular shoes.

I have seen some stunter foot gear close to that description. Like you, I don't really need GP rated boots but I do believe a good boot will save you lots of discomfort if you unload the bike.

I like a little "more" boot so I wear these:

I might pick up the new version though:

I'm currently wearing the bates fast lane boot.  It doesn't offer much protection besides what thick leather provides, and looks fairly stylish, but I want something a little more hip sometimes.. lol

Hip? ROFL, since when are hooker boots hip?  [laugh]

I think I have a set of hip waders that are shorter than that.

Sorry, but was just funny.

lol, thats what I'm saying.  I want something hip.

The bates fast lane boots arent as high as they appear in the picture.  Previous boot was a Teknic speedstar, and the bates boot is just a little bit taller.

I actually think the bates boot looks pretty awesome in a retro-cafe racer kind of way.

These alpinestars shibuya shoes look pretty cool too...might have to give these a try.

no laces on these, but this is the first thing I thought of when I saw your thread topic;

they're $150 Euros and supposedly, they have the functionality of a real moto boot;

Check out the Shift Kicker boots.  They look just like vans and the white version, on backorder everywhere, had logos and designs on some of the leather like vans would.

I use these when I'm not using my "chucks"

those aren't riding shoes

Puma has a line of Ducati-styled stuff, even high boots, and all are not riding shoes.

of course they have their normal riding boots as well.

You know, where what to like but......

I do hope y'all know they don't rebuild ankles too well. I would at least make sure it covered the ankle.
