Alright, Beancounter and I are riding this Sunday AM and thought we would open it up others.
We are planning on leaving around 8am and aim to be back in the city by about 2pm.
The tentative plan is to ride some fun roads near Bear Mountain and then end up at a BBQ joint at noon. They have a quick lunch and head back to the city. I have a back-end commitment but folks should also feel free to continue riding if they desire.
Here's the BBQ joint we're checking out:

Departure location is East Village.
Thinking about riding 106, Bear Mountain road, 218 to start. Pace will be relaxed as I expect lots of LEO this weekend.

Will be coming from the E. Village itself...9th and 2nd.
Great! Easy get together! Let's plan on leaving at 8am from 336 East 9th Street NYC.
Look for this set of red metal doors on the south side of the street as the address is unmarked: http://www.risingwolfgarage.com/ (http://www.risingwolfgarage.com/)

NO SH*T!!!
I've the black S4RS in the middle room that's covered by a (previously) white bedsheet.
[laugh] [clap] [bacon]
:o
The one parked next to me (I think its an S4RS, didn't peek under the sheet for long enough to tell) or along the main wall? I'm next to the scooters.
I'm by the yellow 748 racer near the door to the third room.
I'm coming from Brklyn. Look forward to meeting you guys.

Be ready to leave at 8:00am. Kickstand up at 8:15am sharp.
Sunday riders, I encourage you to read the first two posts about "The Pace" before we meet up on Sunday as we will be riding some of the more technical roads near NYC.

Thanks for the update! Am planning on 106 followed by 218 (yay!) and others. Not doing Arden Road though. Hope to see you at the next one!
Just wanted to add 2 things.
1st
Tiorati Brook Road has ben closed just past the dam and is not open at all from the PIP due to the bridge failing it's weight inspection. The ranger I spoke to said he thinks "it'll be a long time" before it reopens so my gut is it closed for at least this year if not longer... especially considering how long it took to reopen 106
:(

Im taking the time to convert some of my favorite routes to Google maps. I know with the new driod phones that come preloaded with it and GPS this program seems to be getting more popular and functional. If you're interested in looking at them just search Google maps for "motogiro" and click "user created maps" in the search options. I have named them by the area they cover and listed the mileage for the route. If anyone has a route they'd like me to convert please feel free to e mail me and I'll see what I can do.
I hope this helps everyone with route planning and gives us a new way to share the great roads we find...

I'm thinking it may soon be time for Shottie Saturday. There's a great shotgun range in NJ (Thunder Mountain).
