Title: new member, currently Germany
Post by: Nomad on May 29, 2010, 08:41:08 PM
Hi folks!
My name is Reid, just purchased a '96 Monster m900 while back in the states, I'm originally from Idaho.  The bike is currently on its way to Germany, I live in the Ansbach area for the time being.  It is my first motorcycle so I've ridden a grand total of about a week, only put a couple of hundred miles on the monster, but I love it.  The last owner didn't know much about it, so I have no idea what is stock or anything else on the bike, looking forward to learning as much as I can on the boards though.
My biggest problem at the moment is trying to find a bit of touch up paint for the tank (I think it is a 'dark') and a cover for my Tach, the original is cracked.  Problem being from what I understand, the tach is an aftermarket part.  The face is white and says Road Racing and CEV in red on it, but I cannot for the life of me find a replacement cover, any help in that department would be greatly appreciated!

welcome to the board.
check out the tech section for knowledgeable answers to most of your questions about the bike.
you can also check out the accessories and mods section.

Welcome Reid, congrats on the M900. [thumbsup]

I agree with herm, post up in Tech (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?board=4.0) about the paint, one of the expert painters on the board should be able to help out.  Accessories & Mods (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?board=5.0) is maybe better for questions about the Tach.

Looking forward to seeing pictures of your Duc when you get a chance. ;D

Good luck!
