my next Track day - Laguna Secca June 17 [moto] w00t w00t!
Who's in?!
A month ago at Sears point I went with Alfonso and MM. WOWEEEEEEEEEEEEE that was fun. Let's go guys!
;D
Have fun...
Trackdays are definitely a bit more fun when you're there with others. That said, I'm a total cheap-skate and won't take off the time from work or pay the price for Laguna. It's something you should do at least once though--it IS the best track in N. California in my opinion. I've only been there once but I really liked it. I'm going to wait for a nice 105 degree day at T-hill and scoop up some of those < $300/spot days with Keigwins. [thumbsup] (Track bike is *almost* ready...waiting for two parts!)
Agreed - everyone should ride Laguna at least once in their lives.
The first time you go down the Corkscrew - hoo boy!
'Bell, you've GOT to go to one of the BICYCLE nights at Laguna. You can't imagine how much fun the corkscrew is on a bicycle!
Talk about cheep, it's like $10 bucks.
It will be the best ride of the year guaranteed. no cars, no douche bags, nice climb, rocking descents...What do you want?

I would love to do that. We'll see if schedule permits this year. My side job just got the green light again last night. Life is going to be busy through mid-July.

Next bicycle night is this Wed. 5:00pm!
It's going to rock because we get to sight the track by bike, then my MOTO track day is the next day. [moto]
[thumbsup] ;D
Ugh. Can't do it. There are three things going on THIS Wednesday and I'd like to do them all. [laugh] And I'll be doing none of them. When is the next one? I might plan better for it.
I look like your secretary? [cheeky]

i wish i was going, shoot.
have fun dude.
Bummed to miss out on the bicycle ride yet again. :-\
;D All-in-all a spectacular day at Laguna. Perfect weather, not too crowded, one of the most rediculously beautiful tracks around.
There were some amazing riders out there. Really talented folks from all over the world. On the other hand, for some reason it was a crash fest. I couldn't believe how many people simply ran it wide in all groups.
Pics / video later. ;D [popcorn] ;D
Thanks DQ, for the truck and trailer! [thumbsup]
I'm not giving them back though.

As long as you leave the 848 as collateral :)
BTW - Did you run into Mark from DoubleDog Moto? He was supposed to run that track day but was unsure if he could get his bike back together in time.
trying to imagine how Mark could run Laguna with his pipe...
He wrote somewhere that he got a stocker.

He wrote somewhere that he got a stocker.
He put pics of it on Facebook. They even replicated the stock tail section in Carbon:

...but 11lb lighter.
Ya I saw him there. He got out on the track too with the stock pipes. Laguna, he said was worth it.
I posted up some pics in the TRACK DAY REPORT thread here: ;D
