Well I could see the writing was on the wall after a few offs & lack of podiums this season.
Rob
Fact ????
Has it been written somewhere.
I did see the Livo Suppo interview on OneHD where he didn't exactly say no he doesn't want Casey there.
He did say Dani would be unlikely to leave and Dovi has been doing very well this year.
But could we really see the day when Dani and Casey are on the same team?
^^ Ditto
Read it in the latest issue of Cycle Touque. There is also an write up about Bayliss might be comming back too! (here's hoping [bow_down])
It's the same thing every year. The silly season starts, rumours fly. Last year we had Lorenzo coming to Ducati. Done deal, papers signed, etc., according to some websites.
I'll wait until I hear Casey say it. 8)

I hope he goes into retirement and Bayliss (the true racer) comes back to Ducati and MotoGP [coffee]

now now, lorenzo might be "cool" but has he won the moto gp world championship? you should show stoner the respect he's earned, there's been some big names on that duke and only stoner has been able to win on it, lorenzo has come into a team with the benefit of years of development by burgess and rossi. Bayliss may come back to WSB but as good as he is, he was never in the league of stoner on a moto gp bike.
paul.
p.s, woulda coulda shoulda doesn't count, and before you compare bayliss' win record in WSB to stoners in moto gp you may as well compare formula 1 drivers to V8 supercar drivers.
stop stirring loony [roll] [evil]
ohh nice return by paul! [thumbsup]
+1 on the loony train whoot whoot! I think that is a very lucid argument! ;D
It's ok that we all have our favourites. We are all individuals and that is what makes the world so special. :-*

Back to the matter at hand if Stoner goes to Honda with Dovi but loose the Repsol $$$
The team will now be known as Honda-Hustler to rival Randy
Vale comes back as has a Swan song year winning his last title on a Ducati with Nicky running a close 2nd (team orders)
Jorge moves to #1 at Yamaha after winning 2010 title, Spies moves to #2 at the big team.
Pedro-bot and Alberto spit the dumby and set up there own micro team buying customer Suzuki's
Or everything could stay the same and I'm just trying to get us back to somewhere else.
Wow Matty, there wasn't even any Bourbon involved and you can still smell it....... you are a talented man.
Seriously no alcohol or other mind changing substances were consumed last night !!!
Just feel the love

The latest is that Rossi is now thinking of moving to Ducati!
Perhaps the rumours of Stoner moving to Honda are true? There's one thing for sure - no team's big enough to have Rossi and Stoner together, so while Stoner's at Ducati, Rossi's elsewhere.
Here's what Rossi allegedly said (source: Visor Down )
VALENTINO ROSSI has said he is "not 100% sure" he will stay with Yamaha MotoGP in 2011 - giving his biggest hint yet that he may go to Ducati.
The Italian is recuperating from a badly broken right leg, following his crash in practice at Mugello circuit, Italy.
"I am not 100% sure if I will stay with Yamaha - it depends on what happens next year," said the nine-time world champion.
"I could change bike, ride for Ducati and try to win the world championship with an Italian bike. That would be a great motivation."
Indeed it would. And with Casey Stoner allegedly moving to Repsol Honda in 2011 there's a red-hot seat just waiting for a certain Italian backside to grace it.

Interesting.
yeah and Criville errr Pedrosa is moving to FIAT Yamaha to fill Rossi's empty chair and to team up with his best mate and countryman Jorge to make an unstoppable Spanish tag team!! [laugh] [laugh] Juan Carlos I would be proud! [cheeky]

Bayliss coming back? Bayliss was a very likeable bloke - had a charm and an air of larrikinism (is that a word?) that appeals to us Aussies. Interestingly when I went to Italy 18 months ago and toured the Ducati factory - there was more adoration for Bayliss than there was for Stoner. So, no doubt Bayliss was great (at WSBK), and recent tests have shown that he's only a few seconds off the pace of the lead guys now. But a few seconds is an ocean of difference at that level...
Anyhow, as much as we all love Bayliss:
It's. Over. He won't be coming back.
This is from the horse's mouth (not from Cycle Torque):
“This year I had some tests on the Superbike lined up. I went to Mugello, jumped on the bike and as we all know it went very well. Everything felt easy for me and I said that I wanted to comeback; I guess I started my own rumour.â€
“I love riding the bike and I love winning races, but I found out here that it’s not always like that. When I tested here I found out that things weren’t going that good and we ended up going around in circles. That’s when it hit me and it was hard things like that that I didn’t miss about racing. That completely I changed my mind and I spoke too early. I don’t want to come back racing and I don’t want to do any wild cards. I’m retired and I’m happy.â€Full story here: http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/sport/sportresults/World-Superbikes/2010/May/12june-wsb-bayliss-no-comeback/_/R-EPI-124720 (http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/sport/sportresults/World-Superbikes/2010/May/12june-wsb-bayliss-no-comeback/_/R-EPI-124720)

Judging by the comments on the Facebook Ducati site I don't think he's won any hearts and that's without being able to completely understand all the comments in Italian.

I still support Casey - it will be great down the Island watching Casey wring the neck off the Ducati coming out of Siberia, then next year he will be on the Honda! I wonder if it will be as savage! [moto]

That's alright you don't need to understand Italian to read what is being said on the General Board.
The press release was actually a lot more positive than what I was thinking ... yeah I know it was a press release, but it seemed like neither party was willing to burn bridges.
Now I don't really follow the racing ... but what are the chances of Casey winning on the Honda and then being lured back to Ducati once Rossi has come and gone? [cheeky] ;D

I read some of it. Mixed bag as always. To be expected.
But one thing is for sure, there are a great deal of Italian fans that think the Aussie riders are in a league of their own and and a special find. Comments relating to Stoner which describe him as riding with his heart. And Bayliss had always been a favourite with the Italians.
In Italy the opinion is shared just like it is here in the land of Oz.
Good luck on your new ride Rossi. [thumbsup]
