Title: A-stars Jackets?
Post by: scduc on June 14, 2010, 03:23:43 PM
How aggressive are the elbows on the A-stars "race sleeve" jackets as opposed to the "sport sleeve"? Ive seen racer's that when they get off their bikes, that the jackets keep their elbow's in the bent position. I really like the RC-1, but I dont want it to be uncomfortable for day to day riding.

What kind of bike do you ride ?

Don't you have your arms partiality bent while you are riding ?

You don't want to ride stiff armed .

A racing style Jacket has arms that are made for more sporting type bikes.

They are made to fit close to your body and be sleek to cut the wind.

The sleeves are curved so that they are comfortable w, the armor that they carry.

You want armor for protection and good armor is going to make a jacket sleeve curve.

I understand all of this. I currently ride a 08' monster and my jacket is a ducati tri-color with leather and cloth combo. The elbows and shoulders do have inserts which are somewhat soft. I do ride agressive at times, and my elbows are always bent. (not always tucked in)
