Title: need a bigger fan
Post by: muskrat on June 22, 2010, 04:47:12 PM
for the living room.  I have 25 foot ceiling and don't want to mess with installation.  can anyone recommend inexpensive company that has nice remote controlled fans with blades in 5 foot lengths?

Thanks.

Nope. We have a big ass vaulted ceiling in our den, but not that tall. The spouse wants to take down the groovy chandelier and put up a ceiling fan. I pretend not to hear her whenever she brings it up. ;D [bang]

I recommend a Puggle.

He is my biggest fan.

And if you feed him the wrong things he will "move some air" too.   [thumbsup]

??? Don't know anything about this company really but I have seen their ads - and one Isis fan in person - BIG and REALLY moves a lot of air !

So anyway, try the Big Ass Fan Company:  http://www.bigassfans.com/ (http://www.bigassfans.com/)  Good luck !

I looked at them but all they have is industrial stuff and too large.  You've been here so you know what I mean......not matching with the decor and wife's taste at the moment.  Me included.  ;D

Check out Lee Lighting in Frisco.  http://www.leelighting.com/home.php (http://www.leelighting.com/home.php)

I haven't done business with them, but they have a great showroom & I am sure they have more options than the big box stores...  (and given the neighborhood, they probably have solved this problem many times already)

Frisco, home of the McMansion.  Almost every 2 story house has a room like you described.

everyone else but not me.  mine's smaller than your humble palace.  I'll trade if you continue to pay the taxes on your digs - I'll pay mine.  [evil]

Taxes, schmaxes.  Live in the country like us; since we're just renting from the spiders, they pay the rent  [laugh]  [bang]
