GeorgeInDallas and I will be riding up to enjoy the toys this weekend. Anyone want to join us? We are thinking about grabbing something for breakfast before arriving at the BMW place. We are open to suggestions.
I'm in!!
I'm a maybe.
Tomorrow, lets decide on a meeting place and time. I live in Lake Highlands (near North Park Mall) and George lives in Allen off 75.
There's a decent coffee shop in the Allen Village SC (SE quadrant of Central/75 & Stacy Road)... and not just because I live within walking distance, either. [cheeky]
They have outdoor seating, good coffee and baked goodies. But a Big Breakfast is OK with me, too.
From Allen, we can take 121(?) SW to DNT, then south on DNT.
What say ye?
bmp.
we may drop by if you guys are still there about 10:30 to 11:00
Think we'll be caging it in the company Impala. Trying to find "fly" rims for the show right now.
Gotta roll da spinnaz, yo!!
Rick - breakfast: call it.
We may swing by if weather is friendly. For breakfast near there the main street bakery just north of there in legacy square is good and has a patio.
George, you know the area so your suggestion is good by me. The car deal is at 9:00 I believe. Do you want to meet at the restaurant 7:45 to 8:00?
Rick

This place? http://www.mycoffeencream.com/ (http://www.mycoffeencream.com/) If so, it IS pretty cool. [thumbsup] My wife and I went there one night to hear a local band play. Cool place, and good coffee, too! They don't open until 9 on Saturday, though...
Rob
I'm off Sat. Hope weather cooperates as I'd like to ride.
George, is the place open early? Do we need to do the Main place instead?
It was Coffe'n'Cream that I was thinking of...
Website sez they open at 8 a.m. except for Sundays, when they open at 9.
SO - let's meet there at 8 a.m. on Saturday, get a little coffee and something high-carb, then motor over to the Cars.
Directions: on the SE quadrant of Central/75 & Stacy Road in Allen (just north of Plano) is the Village at Allen SC.
From Central/75, go east on Stacy Road to the FIRST entrance for the Village at Allen shopping center.
Go straight about 400 yds, past Nate's Seafood to the FIRST stop sign you have (NOT the 3-way intersection before Nate's). Look to your right and you'll see Coffee'n'Cream...and a beautiful red Ducati ST3 parked on the sidewalk in front. That's the place.
If lost, call my cell: 469-688-2193.
George
If you're planning to be there, say so. We don't want to leave without you (but we will). Who's in?
Count me, count me!
Should we rename this event "Carbs coffee and cars!"
I'll have to be a maybe... depending on the rain. >:(
My guess is that if it's even slightly rainy, nobody is gonna bring their Lambo or Ferrari or Maserati anyway... why the hell should we bring our Ducs?
Oh, wait - cuz they're better looking and MUCH more interesting. And so are we. [cheeky]
Yeah, rain will scotch this outing... but we can still meet up for coffee if it's not pouring.
Let's touch base here tomorrow a.m. before 8 - we'll just play it by ear.
I really hope we can do this - I got a new white helmet and a new jacket with exposed white body armor... look kinda like a Star Wars Stormtrooper.
I'll check this thread tomorrow when I wake up.
Just checked the forecast - 50% POP all morning... sounds grim. Let's look at the sky in the a.m.
I'm up. In Lake Highlands it is dry, but cloudy. I looked at the radar and it shows no rain coming in from the southeast. Since I'm up, if you want to meet for breakfast at least I'm in.
I'll make this easy for me. (I count the most in my mind) I'll go ahead in get the bike out and ride up for breakfast. If anyone else shows up great, if not, I still get to ride.
Rick
If I don't see anyone, have a great 4th of July and Happy Birthday U.S.A!
It's raining up here in Allen. Roads are wet. :'(
I'm keeping the morning open. Right now it looks pretty crappy and I doubt that any cars will be trotted out for us to admire, but if it clears up, I'd be willing to meet up there (i.e., without a preliminary breakfast).
Well, no cars today, but plenty of fun conversation at Coffee'n'Cream with Brother Rick. BTW, the best baked goody they have is, IMHO, the peach blueberry cobbler. OY!
Next time.

George didn't try the pigs in a blanket. Yum.
