Title: New Jacket for my S 1000 RR
Post by: DoubleEagle on August 26, 2010, 10:51:30 PM
I have as most of you know many Dainese leather sport bike Jackets .

They look great on any sport bike ...but I thought it time to get a Jacket just for my BMW S 1000 RR.

Metal protectors on the Shoulders AND the Elbows plus a EU Level 2 zipped in Back Protector and padded Collar Bone protectors for impact protection.

1.2 mm cow hide.

Some perforation.

Jacket to waist zipper.

Jerry,
I heard a guy on the Financial News on TV say that the Euro should go to par w, the US dollar by year's end, then go lower.

May be you won't have to wait too long for that Ducati Jacket .

It would be good as far as you being in Europe as a consumer.

I don't know how it would impact us here in the States ?

over this last year it has been as low as .69, our best was .81 I think, and now it is back to something like .75.... I would be real surprised, but happy, if we ever break even.

It depends, if a European manufacturer has to make a certain profit on a certain product they probably would need to charge more Euros to get that amount of money to equate to the amount needed to reach their profit margin.

Same thing would be true in Europe.

It would mean inflation, where the currency ( Euro ) has been devalued so in order to make the amount of money needed the amount of Euros charged would need to increase to equal the same amount as before the currency was devalued..

i know this is something the "king of gear" already knows, but i have to throw this out.
Hopefully those metal protectors never touch the ground but they will spend a lot of time bumping against motorcycle and car body parts and scratch the shit out of them every time.
Just my .02
Love the jacket.
wish i had waited for that bike.

That is an interesting observation .......but they are surrounded by rubber that is as tall ot taller that the height of the metal .....so I don't think it will be a problem.
