Hi, my name is Nick and I live in the Santa Monica mountains in Topanga, I relocated here a while back from London, UK. I've just bought a 2010 Monster 1100 ABS and am looking forward to enjoying this site. Previous bikes were:

I just got back from a month in Rome where my desire to buy a new bike was fanned into red hot desire, got it the week I got back, but only drove it for 20 miles before I noticed a small oil leak from the rear cylinder base. The shop (Del Amo) picked it up and I haven't seen it since as they have to order a new gasket.... it's been a week now and it's very frustrating :( So I guess I can at least plan the mods. Want to change the silver wheels to black, so I guess get them powder coated? Anyone had a bad result or heard bad things about that? Or does anyone want to trade their black 796 wheels for silver ones :)

Hope you get your oil leak fixed soon, but it sounds like you are putting the time to good use.

Welcome aboard! Great bike [bow_down] did they give you an estimate when it will be fixed?
They have to get a new head gasket from Italy.... maybe a week... :(
hopefully they'll get it done by then. my DUC dealer always gives me an estimate from 1-4 weeks. [roll]
