Title: Old Steamers.
Post by: Stinky Wizzleteats on September 13, 2010, 03:03:37 PM
There is a Rail Heritage Museum near where I live and there will be steam trains doing a loop through my town. I'm hoping to get out there and have a look. I hear them going through some weekends but haven't had the chance to catch them. I love hearing them go past and up the hill.

Awesome stuff.  [thumbsup]

Holy Smokes!!!!   ;D

Love the second one, you can hear the kids all excited about the coming train, then when it passes them and smokes them all out, the kid starts to cry.    :'(

Some of them are just too magnificent to merely flush down the toilet into the obscurity of history...figuratively speaking

There are 3 steam locomotives (http://www.orhf.org/) in Portland, OR.

The SP 4449, the SP&S 700, & the OR&N 197.  I live up the hill from the Brooklyn yards where they are kept, and some times you can hear the whistle blow. [thumbsup]

Since you are too much of a pussy to say it....................

I thought this was going to be a great Cleveland Steamer story.

I am very disappointed.
