Hey gang [thumbsup]
Looking to relocate away from Cheesman in January, any suggestions? I like LoDo and Boulder, any recommendations?
Cheers,
Adam
Nothing to add, but hopefully I'll be moving there some time next Summer, so I'm looking for suggestions, too. [beer]
I like my neighborhood. ;D (biased)
Highlands (not the Ranch).
Close enough to downtown, I25 access, walkable distance to a couple of shops/restaurants...

And close to your office!

Ha ha. And my two ex-offices. ;)
What did or didn't you like about Cheesman that is causing you to move from there?

What did or didn't you like about Cheesman that is causing you to move from there?
A few reasons ...
1.) Colfax and the homeless squire crowd that gets drunk, beligerent, and is just a pain in the ass. After having a guy jump out of nowhere and boot all over my feet (and the ensuing "brief, constructive chit-chat" I had with him) I kind of was all set.
2.) Going west is kind of annoying when you're on the bike, I-25 is OK but if you're going north you end up having to cut diagonally across town.
3.) Nothing terribly walkable that's worth mentioning over by Cheesman, and I like living in a vibrant neighborhood [thumbsup]
I like Capitol Hill, it's just where i'm at (14th / Williams) is in this kind of no-man's land...
Cheers,
Adam

... All of which are at
least a mile away from my place. I think you missed the point of this thread [roll]

I loved living in uptown. 20th & Park Ave.
Could walk to Lodo, Coors Field, bars, all the fun restaurants on 17th St., walked to Cheeky Monk several times.... you get the idea.
Before I moved here, I had (wet) dreams of living in Boulder. Got a place in Superior (fine), worked two years in Boulder and am SO glad I live in Denver. Boulder turned out, for me, to be too small of a town and not enough variety of fun bars with different faces in the winter.
You may love it! I'd pick LoDo over Boulder any day â€" now that I know.
But really, you're going to have fun wherever you land, right?! [thumbsup]

You find a place yet?
A friend of Stella and I has this place in Wash Park for rent (short term) at the moment:

A friend of mine has hers up:

Both nice [thumbsup]
... But quite a bit more than I'm paying now. If I get into that range, a mortgage makes more sense. Appreciate the heads up though!
Cheers,
Adam
