CDawg: Are you into sailing as a regular thing? I have an old Pearson sloop I keep in Glen Cove.

Yup.  I sail just about every weekend.  I'm member at the Manhattan Sailing Club.  Pearson's are cool!  We should get together for a sail!
MYC sails J24s.  This is a photo for a recent outing:

I think my alma mater's sailing team just sold you guys a j/24, although I could be mistaken.

I have sailed down the East River a few times on other folks boats. And, I've sailed out of Liberty State Park where a relative kept a Catalina 25. NY Harbor is fun. I've always wanted to sail up the Hudson as far as I could.

Put the outboard back on the boat today (carburetorn trouble) and did a little sail. I'm headed to Albuquerque for a few weeks where I hang with the NMMR crew. We split time but are mostly NYers. Leaves only one weekend before I store the boat for the winter once I'm back.

CDawg- I'll PM you when I'm back.

I always wanted to have a paint ball battle between sailboats- a version of the sea battles between men-of-war. The fun thing is maneuvering the boat. Years ago, I even wrote up rules.

Awesome!  We may miss each other as I am in CA for a wedding the weekend of the 9th, but if not this year, then perhaps next May!

Friend of mine said he's going Sunday.. ill let ya know..  same place as last..  a lil pricey but they have a lot of maps...  if you stop by the shop before the fields the paint is a lil cheaper.. 2000 rounds for 82$ with tax..  good for 2-3 people maybe 4 if your not a full auto guy..  they. Don't rent vest though..  entrance is around 30$  may be cheaper depending how big the groupe is..

I will when I get back to NY the 17th- they're archived on another computer.

I have one sailing weekend left- the 23rd & 24th. Let's see how it plays out. It would be fun to meet people who like sailing & 'cycles.

It was fun.. of course we were late, on Puerto rican time....  bad thing was the snow/ice on the ground and a few marker problems..  hooters in queens afterwards was pretty good..
