So I wrecked and now I am hoping they total the thing out, so I can get a low buy back and fix it up. Does anybody know if the damage listed will be enough to total it out and what is the likelihood of a sub 1k buy back?

The damage is:
everything thing from the clip-ons down on the front: Triple clamp, clip-ons, twisted forks, wind screen, even broke the rim. Brakes and rotors look okay though, slight rashing on the right brake. The "dash" is only connected on one bolt and I haven't put the key in since the accident so I don't know if it works.
Pipes=mangled mess.
Rashing on clutch cover and a couple other engine parts.
Rashing on the tank.
The bike still ran after the wreck, I had to turn it off.
Take it to your dealer for a repair quote & let them know why. Your insurance company WILL total it.
Yup, it's done fer. SUb 1k buy back prolly won't happen though. From what I've heard I got my Moms at a goooood price and it was 1,113.-- hopefully you get something in a similar range. On the plus side these thing are very cool to work on. [beer] Good luck.
Yeah that's a totaled bike. Estimates done based on OEM prices get big, fast for Ducs. The OEM cans we love to hate are $800+ each when purchased for Ducati.
Your buy back price is based on what salvage companies offer up to you insurer. So essentially you're competing with them to bid on the value of the bike - but you hae the benefit of seeing their bids aka the buy back and you have right of 1st refusal.
The damage sounds pretty bad, and may mean a tweaked frame, so have it looked over well before you make your final decision.

Sounds like you've definitely totaled it, but with that much damage to the front end, I wouldn't be surprised if you tweaked the frame.
Just make sure you check that out before you buy it back.

I feel the frame should be fine. Everything still seems to line up and the upper triple came off so I believe the forks took nearly the entire brunt of the accident. It is something I'll have them check, but upon my most NOT expert opinion it seems to be okay. The rings on the lower twisted though.
Wow that is the complete reverse of mine. The frame took all the damage and saved the forks. Either way if you are ok with used parts check Chris S at Motored-Sports, you'll find him in the parts for sale section.
I guarantee your bike will go salvage, with the list you provided. When you get the estimate back you'll see that the OEM Ducati prices are RIDICULOUS!
As for your frame it's very easy with these to see damage when you've had a front collision. Look at the upper tubes connected to the neck/head/stem whatever and see if there's any paint chips. If you have and paint cracking or peeling I guarantee your frame to be out of spec. I can almost guarantee it's bent either way. If you busted your wheel and broke the top clamp off you most likely bent the frame. How does your gas tank line up now? Do the rubber pads lay flat on the frame rails? Sometimes the frame rails bend outward and the paint doesn't chip.
Either way, your buy back will probably be close to $1k - $1800. Since you have so much damage, you might get lucky.
FYI - I have all the parts to fix it, even a new frame.
