Why is Dani out there? That dude needs to take the rest of the year off and get ready for next year.

'Cause he's a tough, little macho man and he has to make an appearance in front of his home crowds there and next week too. ;D And I don't mean that in a bad way. If I thought I was fit enough to ride I'd be out there too. (if I was good enough that is [laugh])

Because his masters at Repsol(TM) told him to. They like his bike the best, because his diminutive size makes the logos really pop.
I don't like the guy, but even I think it's a bit extensive.

Maybe because he's a racer, and they like to race if they are at all able.
Lorenzo trading paint with Rossi a couple rounds ago wasn't smart either, but he still did it. ;)

Cuz he's only 23 points ahead of Stoner with two rounds left. If he can pick up a couple of points here and a couple at the next round, he has a chance of keeping the #2 spot (depending on how Stoner does).
And cuz he's a racer. Racers race.

Stoner highsided, but came down nice. Did anyone catch Jorge's big highside? He's lucky he didn't break anything. Landed perfectly on his back.

In the end Rossi/Lorenzo spread out, but the first 10 laps were fantastic with all the bikes near the front. The scraps further back were very entertaining. You have to take what MotoGP gives you. Considering how rare battles for the win are in this era, I'm surprised anyone still complains about it.

Is it just me or are we all sick to make the beast with two backsing death of Jorge's bad, stupid, moronic post race win stunts? Wasn't the Laguna Seca "space walk thing" bad enough? How about the "sit in the chair eating popcorn and watching yourself on the Jumbo-tron screen" bullshit. Ugh.. what a dickhead. He needs a pregnant dog slap big time! Wanker. [bang] He's no Valentino Rossi and never, ever will be. When Valle does that crap, it's funny. He's earned it and he's a master at PR. When limp dick George does it it's just embarrassing.

I enjoy the post race celebrations to be honest. However, you shouldn't do the same celebration twice in the same season. Jorge did the moonwalk at Laguna. You don't pull it out again at Estoril. The biggest reason I don't like Lorenzo's celebrations as much as Rossi is due to his personality, but I still find them entertaining. Its too bad he didn't drown when he jumped in the lake.
I was quite interested in Indianapolis. If he won that race, he was going to be Iron Man, I guarantee it. Didn't happen unfortunately. I was hoping on a set of maroon Fiat leathers with the Dainese titanium sliders in gold. Would have looked slick.

+1!!!
I got nothin' to add. The race kinda bored me. Oh, wait. I do have one thing -- DON'T CUT AWAY FROM THE ACTION TO SHOW THE LEADER CROSS THE LINE 30 SECONDS AHEAD! AND IF YOU DO, JUST STAY WITH IT FOR A SECOND AND GO BACK TO THE FACKIN' ACTION, YOU FACKIN' JACKWAGONS!!!
Yay, Lorenzo is trying to do a wheelie up the front straight. Look, he's still trying to wheelie. Yup, still trying. Still goin'. No, I didn't want to see the real battle. Not at all. Give me more baby wheelies. Those are neat. I luv me some baby wheelies. Oh, now show Rossi on the front straight. Look, he hasn't crossed the line. Yay, Rossi! Maybe he'll do baby wheelies too. Yay, more time focused on Rossi straight up and down. Yay, he got second. What's that, you say? There's a battle for third? Who cares. Did you see that badass baby wheelie?
And here's the definitive take on the post-race celebrations: George, you are not Rossi and never will be. Cut it out. For those who have forgotten how much of a douche you are (or believe that you changed), you are starting to remind them again.
As for Stoner, it's good they'll have three Repsol Hondas next year. He'll need all the spares he can get.

I hated all the ra ra go america hayden lovin, it was entirely undeserved. He's been fighting back to prove he's not a pussy to rossi. The new fight in hayden is worth talking about (even if he did still come in 5th)
I've come to terms with keeping hayden next year because i realized i've had the same though nearly every race. Stoner takes off and halfway through I think,'why the hell is ducati keeping hayden?' Shortly after there is a dust cloud with a flipping red blur at the front of it and obscenities are being thrown at the tv.

other reasons ducati isn't keeping stoner:
1) the way he handled his "illness" last year (didn't bother coordinating his absence with his employer, didn't bother keeping his employer informed regarding his prognosis, etc).
2) unwillingness to participate in sponsor press events
this is just the tip, i'm sure some of the other guys here can come up with more...

consistancy and that tenacity to keep the bike upright and finishing the race is what made Hayden a World Champion in 2006...that and he has a helluva work ethic...look at the number of laps he turns at the practices in comparo to Stoner and at the R&D days they get....and then look at when things don't go right...does he throw the team under the bus or say the bike was crap or anything like that...nope, because he has integrity...
say what you want about Nicky, but even when Honda was completely treating him like dogshit, he sucked it up and did a more than reasonable amount in his role of being a team player, even though it was lopsided against him...he has bonus points in my book as far as being a stand up guy, which I am sure Ducati looked at as much as what he was doing out there...and at WDW this past summer, he was almost as mobbed by the crowds as Bayliss....Casey and Haga paled in comparo ( and apparently Casey had to be marched around by a PR entourage to tell him where to go and when)...so he isn't an alien rider by anymeans...but he is top tier (meaning he belongs on a factory team MotoGP bike)for sure and very much worth his salt IMHO...

Yeah same here.
I think that both Casey and Pedrosa are probably chronically shy. Casey gives the impression that like Mick Doohan, he hates the media bullshit. That bullshit though helps pay the bills.
Actually in Pedrosa's defence and
I'm serious here, it wouldn't surprise me if he had Aspergers or Autism syndrome. I think that he shows signs of it and it may make his achievemants all the more respect worthy. Maybe why Puig keeps such a close eye on him.
I have never liked Pedrosa in the past, I thought he behaved like a sullen child, and what he did to Nicky (my future son in law ;)) is unforgivable, but maybe we are too hard on these guys for how they come across.

Agreed, and why should they have to have star quality?
I've gained a lot of respect for Pedrobot this year. He's been much more tenacious, tough, and agressive than we've seen in the past.
